Hi,
As a Space fan, I was looking forward to this game.
But paying around 10 Euros wasn't worth at all. The achievement system doesn't work, a lot of details are missing (for example the engines which come in form of basic shapes, ...), a lot of rockets just warp into the sky when launching, etc...
On the other side, I see a lot of potential, the described flaws are all solvable by code or design. Maybe a feature could be added where you could see what's going on inside the rockets. Ich which parts are the tanks for Oxygen, Hydrogen, Methane, RP1, where is cargo storage, where does the crew sit...

'Rocket Explorer' is supposed to be an educational rocket simulation in which you get to learn a little bit about 40+ rockets and you can even watch them all launch. Well...that is what it thinks it is doing anyway. In reality, this app is broken AF and while you can do a lot of things with it most of it is broken with the rockets becoming invisible. But even presuming that this issue is fixed you are still paying £10.29 for next to nothing! Maybe if this app was fixed and cost less I could see it being used in an educational setting, but not until then. For now, I will be asking for a refund and suggests no one, not even us space fans give this a go until it gets fixed.

A fun program/game that allows you to play around with a good amount of real-life rockets. There is a decent amount of bugs, and the GUI is not very intuitive. However, it is a beta release, and I'm sure all of these flaws will be fixed in the near future.

This game has a great idea and I think that it can become a great game but it has some flaws. The rockets disappear shortly after leaving the pad and the spent stages do the same. A feature I would like to be added is rockets that are recovered will land close to the launch pad so the player can see it. The camera views on the rockets are limited at best. The rockets just float above the pad. And after release there was 1 update and there hasn't been any news since. Just to name a few things.

The game is still in early access one year later with no update since it was published. The developer is making rocket models on his youtube channel but don't put them in the game. This game had a lot of potential but it seems like it's no more in developement.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!! It has amazing potential and it's already gone way past all my initial expectations from the first release! Amazing job and thanks for all your hard work. I can't wait to see what the 1st update brings. 100/10 would recommend.

Absolutely amazing visualizations! Par for the course for Stanley Creative! We are thrilled to have this game and can not wait until we get "saddle mode" so we can ride those rockets straight to the moon!!!!

Wanted to like... can't. The interface is really clunky, almost random... and allows one to select options that don't work (I was presented with an empty view of a rocket a dozen times before I figured out how to get a rocket to appear in the hangar). I couldn't launch a rocket that I was viewing in the hangar, even though pressing "enter" was clearly an option (which supposedly means "launch rocket")
When the menu comes up... you can no longer pivot your camera around... which should always be available via right mouse button IMO.
The entire GUI needs to be rethought. There is little feedback... more than once I got to a screen that was just black. Nothing you do will fix it unless you restart, or remember to press 'E'... otherwise it's you and a black screen forever.
Nonsensical options appear, like "reset camera" even though it is not apparent that there is even a camera that has ever been set.... etc. etc.
The rockets are essentially not textured at all (with minor exceptions), and so lack realism... other surfaces make no sense, like highly reflective rocket nozzles, something never seen IRL.
It's missing a rocket exploration mode (oh the irony)... where you can view the models. You literally have to place them on the pad, and then fly around them in camera mode.
I will say that once you start to figure out the interface, it begins to be more productive... and as an early access, I suppose most of the rough edges are excusable... so if you LOVE rockets, and can handle a clunky initial release, go for it (especially on sale), otherwise, perhaps its better if you wait.

Yes, this an interesting concept but this version of the program is woefully under-cooked. Every time I try to launch a rocket it zips up to space in like 2 seconds. There are other issues as well. Such as, a poorly designed user interface and wonky controls. I am not yet giving a judgement on this as I know it is in early access. I will say though of all of the "early access" games I have purchased that this is the "earliest" of versions I have interacted with. A tonne of work still needs to go into this as the price (even with a 15% discount) does not justify what you get here. Please keep working on this as it really needs it badly. As I stated earlier I don't really want to give a Yes or No recommendation for this yet but Steam is making me choose before I can publish this "review" so in the current state this software is in I have to say NO I do not recommend. Sorry, I will come back later when more work has been done. Hopefully I can change my opinion if Steam lets me AND if the state of the game requires it.
