Those who hunt elf waifus tavern version. Also, yuri only! You play as Aisling, a female mercenary, who just got tricked into owning a tavern. Moreover, the tavern comes with an elf barmaid in tow. Now, what do you make when life gives you lemons? Well, you make some drinks or something. Well, here as well. When you get a tavern you might as well try to make the best out of it. The extra elf, the previous owner, will sure come in handy. As you adapt to your new role as the boss of the newly acquired establishment, new challenges arise. Threat not, new elves appear randomly to aid you. On top of all that, you can also capture their hearts, to make one of them your elven bride. Sweet deal, right? That's the summary of the events unfolding as you absorb the story. There are several choices along the way, which will steer you onto one of the two paths, each with two outcomes. A total of four endings can be found here. Two good and two bad. Worry not, the choices telegraph well which path you're on. All can be completed in a few short hours easily. Not a long read. As for the writing quality, not too bad. The flow of the story is coherent and down to earth, despite it being a fantasy type. A slice of life tinged with comedy is what you're served here. A bunch of pragmatic characters drive the action here. Solid and logical, but slightly bland, dialogues fill most of the story. If you like slice-of-life fantasy, you'll likely find some joy in exploring this world. Just don't hang your bar too high. Art-wise, it is fine. Generic character tachie, with limited pose variations, can be seen here. I've seen those sprites in other indie games, be it another VN or an RPG Maker title. Cost-cutting measure, but at this price it can be excused. There is a decent number of backgrounds at least. Not terrible, but more could've been done, especially the h-scenes. Barely any CGs are present here, and all are present only during intimate scenes. Bit weak imo. The music is also generic, but at least it matches the theme of the story. Still, more track variety would improve the delivery. No voice acting at all. Budget level, as expected. The gallery is bugged. Pressing the gallery button glitches the main screen, and the game requires a restart to function again. Overall, this short VN presents a simple but coherent story of mid-life career change and some romance, all served in a fantasy sauce. Both art and music offer generic quality only but match the theme well. It is a good read for elf enthusiasts, or for a casual fantasy slice of life: 5.6/10
