The Mole Men is a very addictive 2D action game up to 4 players and you should buy it !
Here's why :
- The rogue lite aspect of the game gives the player many possibilities, as there are many equipments and skills available for the character. There are also many differents missions like rescuing a NPC or finding and destroying computer servers. Some of the missions unlock new classes to the character that change the way they will be played. The replay value is great !
- Its gameplay needs practice first but when mastered, it gives the player the feeling of accomplishment as they will kill group of enemies without taking damage and will successfully avoid lava by using the rope. With this fast-paced gameplay, it has great tools to be a speedrun potential game.
- Special mention to the bosses that are very good designed and will test the skills of the player in a smart way.
- Also important to mention that the art and music are also very good and fits the game well.
- Did I mention the game can be played in co-op up to 4 players ?!
One essential aspect of rogue-lite/ rogue-like games is to be fun to play so the player always want to come back and I think The Mole Men successfully fullfilled this goal !

You start off weak. You might die within minutes. Or if you go a little further, save some gold and find out how to stack your abilities, you will become a total bad@ss, wrecking everything in sight. (I just beat the game for the first time, but there's another difficulty that just unlocked so I might not be so proficient after all...)
I don't usually like roguelikes, but this one hits different. Each run is like its own metroidvania. There are many things to unlock, and many power ups you didn't see before. You can quit the game and return again if needed, which is good, because some runs can last hours.
(Note: my playtime is higher than what you see here, for at least two different reasons. I actually have around 12 hours right now.)

It's a bit slow at teaching you how to play, but once you get the hang of it, this game will suck your life away before you even realize it. I spent 4.4 hours into on my first play through and it only felt like 1. I had to change two keys in the options setup, but after that I was blown away at how much fun I was having. This is the roguelite that I'd been searching for.
You wake up from your bed, hunt down a ship, and then your off to planet after planet, saving rebels and hunting down lieutenants and admirals. Each planet you can visit are randomly generated; some have missions while others are just great for collecting loot and cash. The more you play, the more weapons, armor, and passives you unlock. I've unlocked 4 characters so far, each with their own secondary ability; all other item slots are swappable during play. If you aren't into platforming and swinging from a grappling hook, this game isn't for you. It took me a bit to get used to grappling (for my life), but once I did I was flying across the map faster than Tarzan.
The weapons are diverse and impactful. The chest armor and boots have a lot of differing abilities. The enemies are easy enough to learn their attack patterns but still can surprise you. After 4 hours, I turned the music off mostly because the game really needed a heavier soundtrack(like doom eternal on repeat).
I got this on sale and I would have paid full price because, even after 8.8 hours and beating the first level of difficulty, I'm ready to go back for more and see what the next level of difficulty has in store.
I highly recommend this game for anyone who needs to blow something up. You can stop and quit mid-game and not lose your place and return later, which I found very nice. It has multiplayer, but I haven't gotten the chance to try it out yet, but I will most certainly be picking up another copy in case it's not just split screen.

DIG - Deep In Galaxies is a really fun action roguelike platformer!
I enjoy the great mobility by digging and grappling around, it makes the game super enjoyable. Combat is solid, with possibility to use melee, which is used for digging and ranged weapons, plus a special attack specific to your class.
I was surprised by how good the progression of the game is, good variety of mission types and satisfying game loop. The world (well, technically space) map is really neat, giving the freedom to decide where to go next. Lastly, I wanted to mention that the game has some really cool chiptune music.
Looking for super fun game, which feels like a mix of Broforce, Spelunky and Caveblazers? DIG - Deep In Galaxies got you covered!

hidden gem you must play if you have enjoyed Terraria and Broforce. Skills and weapons combos are really funny and you can go for tons of different builds, so every run is different. Control just feels great and almost mid-responsive

This game has brought me hours of fun when playing alone and lots of laughs when playing with friends! This game is criminally underrated and should have a much larger player base.
Between the fun game play and awesome perk combinations I highly recomend this game for anyone and everyone!

Cons-
You have to go through the same text and small cut scene when starting every run.
The leaderboard post run loads WAY to slow. And you need to view the leaderboard after EVERY run.
Few weapons you see in the first mission or two. Its always the same things.
Everything else I love!
The game just needs a quick start feature.

Binding of Isaac style passive items meets Enter the Gungeon style weapons meets Broforce-ish gameplay. If 2/3 of that sounds fun? Buy this. For 10 bucks it's a steal.

The mole men is definitely my favourite game right now. It has been since I bought it.
I absolutely love the planet and galaxy exploration, the item and skill synergies, you can get crazy powerful builds, and the gameplay loop is just really fun, and it really keeps me wanting just one more game every time. I'm sure it's even more fun with a friend or two on multiplayer.
Plus there's a grappling hook.
I mean come on, who doesn't like a grappling hook, right?
It has a very nice price tag, it's been such a great value for me, and I'm super glad I found it.
Definitely worth a buy if you're on the fence about buying or not.
*Thanks to the Devs for their help, and for all their hard work making such an incredible game!

"DIG" is a scrolling platformer with a heavy emphasis on navigation via digging through the material of the various planets. There is an over-arcing plot about overthrowing an Evil Overlord, but it's really not taken terribly seriously. There are five levels of difficulty, a variety of unlockable character classes with their own powers, and a rogue-like random generation of each planet, though there's a fairly limited number of missions available on those planets, and each instance of that mission plays fairly similarly. The player has both an unlimited melee and an ammo-based missile attack, and starts the game with both a double jump and a grappling hook, all of which may be enhanced through the acquisition of new weapons, clothing, and powers through the course of the game.
This is not, in any sense, a very serious game. But it is a fun one. The things a character may acquire through the course of the game may see the player ignoring fall damage, walking on lava, shredding through the planet with a few bursts of their gun, or doing thousands of points of damage with a single swing of their weapon, depending on the abilities the player acquires through the game. A degree of skill is certainly involved, but "balance" is not one of the game's foremost priorities. It's more interested in making sure the player is having a good time than facing a challenge carefully crafted to make them strain, even with the best powers. But, honestly, that's sometimes a bit of a relief. While some games are determined to keep players on the "here's a new ability- now learn to use it immediately, or you DIE!!!" treadmill that getting a new ability is actually stressful, D.I.G. is more than willing to go, "And you can do THAT now. Isn't that neat?"
Definitely worth the $10 I bought it for, and though I've only been able to play it multiplayer a few times, that promises many hours of couch co-op enjoyment.
