Great design and animation, and it genuinely kept me hooked until the end.
Still unsure about the plot, though, but I liked it!

First off, good bloody job. Great art and music all around, the music made a huge impression on me. I enjoyed the latter half of the game, especially after your turn into a Savior, the new mechanics introduced made a huge difference and let me enjoy playing in human form too. It is REALLY short though, finished in a little over 3 hours (though I didn't 100% collectibles since I had no idea they were important).
Now for the flaws. Frankly, the story was pretty mediocre, the side characters were uninteresting, and the character design was also a little boring, I liked the blonde sister's design with the flowers on her head but that's about it. These were minor gripes I had with the game.
***MINOR SPOILERS***
One HUGE criticism I have about the game is the entire first half felt way too slow and tedious. I trudged my way to Stereoma Beach Temple 2 before I thought about quitting, but decided to give it some more time. Temple of The Smiling Islands 2 is where I started enjoying the game, after that it only got better and better with the introduction of new mechanics and enemies. Game peaked with Red Fortress for sure, enjoyed every second of it.
I think the level design in a lot of areas was really bad, but also pretty good in others. I'm not sure why the first half of the game has really boring levels, but it's tolerable.
I personally wouldn't spend $13 on this if I knew what I was going into, there are incomparably better games within the genre that are SIGNIFICANTLY larger and similarly priced. Besides the art, SFX, and music, nothing stands out too much. Decent project overall though.

This is a very pretty game, but you can see that. The animations and area design from start to finish are of excellent quality. But it isn't very engaging to actually play, and the writing is so shallow while being presented with such confidence that it's baffling.
The character you control for most of the game is s l o w. Their area locked combat from is tolerable. Combat sequences are simple and have a trivial skill floor that is also the skill ceiling. Puzzles aren't, they're mostly just tedious traversal with a very slow character. The most consistent challenge is adjusting on the fly to the different move speeds of the character and their combat form. At the same time, there's actually basic tech - the height you drop from from any given fall or jump determines your landing lag in a game where you have 1 HP and enemies can move fast. There's just enough potential to be disappointed.
I 100%'d this game. I paid attention to every bit of text.
I have no clue what anything in this game was trying to say - and it certainly acts like it was saying something. The imagery is strong, but I don't know what screaming herons or monsters with an extra mouth above their eyes or bears with mushrooms growing from their back or dialog boxes that invert their message when you stand on them mean. I can't even tell you everything that literally happened, let alone what figuratively happened, because the five acts and epilogue all have a jump in space and time between them.
I can't recommend it on any merit except the visuals, but alone they're not enough to carry this experience.
