If you ignore some of the coding and buggy issues then its a truly fun and amazing experience especailly if you like the movies, although i had never seen the movie before playing and i still had a blast playing it. Yes its very buggy but a truly good gameplay loop. (also i have watched the actual texas chainsaw massacre movie now and i will say it is very faithful to the first movie and they're working on getting rights to the second movie

Was honestly interested in this due to it being about the texas chainsaw massacre, but it has nearly nothing to do with that except for a couple of the characters were based on the movie. Super unengaging hide and seek multiplayer (3 v 4) based game. Always the same number of maps, same number of players, same few gimmicky mechanics at play... Not many people play it so the wait times to get into a lobby take a while (think 20+ mins...) and even then you can sit there for a very long time for everyone to press ready. One game is a single round of hide and seek, if you are playing as the victims and get killed you kinds just sit there for however long the match is, even if that's another 10+ mins. For some reason about 4 of the keybinds that were in the settings didn't work for me and didn't work when I tried toggling and resetting them; of all the bugs I've encountered in any game I've never had keys that just straight up don't work. The configuration of the Unreal engine here is interesting in that it consumes wayyyy more resources than other recent games for the lower quality of graphics it's putting out. Also no support/use of ultrawides either, the majority of the screen is black/unused, with only around 40%-50% of the screen actually showing the game/being used. Kinda sad I wasted money on this thinking it was at all based on the texas chainsaw massacre, got it on sale and just got around to playing it so it is too late to return. Wouldn't play this even if it was gifted to me and it was the only game I had and I was getting payed to play it.

This game was very promising at its beta before launch. Sadly, the devs dropped the ball both on communicating with their player base, and providing new content. New characters with overtuned abilities were locked behind paywalls that essentially made the game pay to win and caused frustration among the playerbase. Not to mention the victim skin packs that feature recolor after recolor after recolor for a pretty penny. With pay to win characters, lobby dodging became a rampant problem and as a result the devs had to put a penalty in place to try and mitigate it with disappointing results. They also lost a huge number of players when the game was removed from Xbox Game Pass, as no one wanted to pay for a game with so many bugs, cheaters, and devs that couldn't leverage positive changes over many months.
In the beginning of its life cycle, a Leatherface was required to start a match - this was later abandoned to improve lobby times but diminished the personality of the game without it's most popular character being featured each game.
Gameplay wise, it can be very clunky for both sides and if you're solo, playing Family can be very frustrating. I can't justify putting any more time into it or recommend it. Very unfortunate the devs dropped the ball with this beloved horror IP.

I like the game but it’s leaning so much on family. Even the hit box, though there is already quite distance between but u still get hit and actions when crossing walls or those tables get canceled and u still died.

I can understand that things can get delayed, and it's not always possible to hit the deadline But you sold other cosmetics, which were not included in the content pass for some reason and were sold separately, but now you say that you need more time to deliver what people have already paid for.
So, you had every chance to just include some of those "not included in content pass" cosmetics in the content pass and deliver everything on time, but decided not to I think my suspicion might be correct that the game is not doing too great, and you wanted to make some quick funding from content passes and then separately from other cosmetics, that people had to buy separately. I don't know what kind of situation you're in so I won't judge, but this kind of things make me think the game won't last long Hopefully, it will, because I enjoy the game and want it to succeed, but the more news I hear, the more my hope smolders.
Also, I think switching from a new patch every two weeks to one a month had nothing to do with quality control and more with the lack of manpower, since updates still come out buggy and it takes a really long time to fix things Really shameful news, not because cosmetics get delayed, I can live with that no problem, but because of what it means, and it means nothing good if my assumptions turn out to be correct

Matchmaking time is abysmal.
Finally get in the match, game bugs and I can't move. Dead within the first minute.

This is not the same game I remember when it first came out. Killers are way too overpowered and need to be fixed. I remember being able to take at least quite a few hits, but now the killers just spam you in 5-10 seconds and you're dead. Also the servers, as small as they may be, are polluted with too many kids [who really shouldn't be playing a game like this] and are screaming in your ears.
There needs to be a one or two hit and then cool down for killers like in Dead by Daylight so they aren't just spamming you. There also needs to be a rework on which killers can be chosen. You shouldn't have two killers who can also go into cracks and vents in the same game, otherwise there is no chance of escape. The perfect example is having a game with the Hitchhiker and Sissy. Both can go into vents and cracks. Now when you are chased, you're at a bigger disadvantage. I never felt like I could get away or escape, once a killer finds you, you're dead and that's not fun for survivors.
They also need to change how killers can come into the basement. It should be the first time someone escapes the basement, then the killers can come down. Not when grandpa wakes up. That way it forces the killers to be both upstairs and in the basement. Every game I've played people make too much noise because they wanna get down faster, which is frustrating, and then grandpa is woken up, despite you being quiet. They should just remove the struggle sequence in the beginning and just make it a cutscene instead. That way everyone gets down at the same time or if you go too quickly it wounds you, so as to discourage players from making too much noise right off the bat.
The first game I played, this one girl went too fast, slammed the door open, and when I finally got down, Leather Face immediately came in and killed me. Not to mention she woke up grandpa because of it, which means the other killers can come into the basement. It's fun with friends, but public lobbies with a 5 minute wait time? Throw you money elsewhere until they fix this.

I love this game, hard to pick up as a new player. Once you learn the mechanics and META, it's very fun and feels strategic at times! Best horror asymmetrical out there in terms of game play in my opinion. I played 3k hours of Dead By Daylight and I 100% prefer TCM over DBD.

Game is beautiful and highly authentic to my fav horror franchise with very interesting objectives for victims as opposed to dbd.
Queue times for victim are abysmal, but good for the family. This is because the victims are utterly OP and mechanics completely favour victims and totally open to abuse. Tutorials are next to useless, lobby system is a disaster with readying up and wastes everyone's time even more, and people DC every game.
Should be an amazing game, should be better than DBD but it's not. somehow even the community is worse than dbd
