The best asymmetric multiplayer game ever made. Yet I cannot recommend it to anyone. This game was amazing on launch, the intensity of the stealth gameplay was something no other multiplayer game had ever captured, it really captured the feeling of the original movie perfectly. The only major issue was that rushing objectives/speedrunning as victim was much too strong. Two years later and nothing was ever done to combat this issue, making every match devolve into victims sprinting at the objectives with no regard for their safety, meaning either A; the victims would escape within 3 minutes and the match would be over, or B; the victims would run head first into the family and die instantly. Gun refused to ever nerf speedrunning because they saw it as a legitimate "playstyle" and didn't want to force people who liked that playstyle to play differently. But by refusing to do anything about it, it forced ALL victim players to speedrun, because if you didn't your teammates would all have escaped or died by the time you made it out of the basement, and if you're the last person left alive there's no hope of clutching an escape unless you were already fairly close. Sadly this killed my enjoyment of Victim, (which I enjoyed much more than playing Family), but playing as family also became extremely unfun due to this because the matches would be over so quick and you would spend far more time in queue than you would in an actual match. Ontop of Gun's refusal to listen to their playerbase, once the orginal dev team, Sumo Digital, left and were replaced by a new team, the only major update this new team ever shipped was full of gamebreaking bugs, many of which still remain unpatched. The new map has a number of audio bugs, which in a stealth game where you need to listen for footsteps, it's a big deal when walking on carpet makes a splash like you just stepped in a rain puddle. And that's not even mentioning the many bugs with the new Victim that was added in the same update. After less than 2 years of Gun's inexcusably horrible management of this game, most players were so fed up that the game stopped making enough money for Gun to keep it running. So they have stopped all support for the game, claiming that it has reached it's full potential, despite the fact they still had multiple content updates in development that they canceled. TL;DR: This game was fantastic on release, nearly perfect. But Gun Interactive refused to listen to their fans and left so many issues unattended, left to fester for the past 2 years, that the game would be nearly unplayable even if the players didn't all leave. Do not buy anymore games from this company unless their management changes.

it's a great game honestly but it seems as though the devs get bored after a year or so and toss their games for the next shiny toy they can bring out

They ruined the game by listening to the whining of the dead by daylight players and now the survivors are worthless.

don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the game, it's a very good game with a lot of potential, at one point I even saw it as a possible rival for dead by daylight, but from what I understand they changed the studio that handles the game and now to stop support for the game, I don't accept such a thing. I would very much like someone else to take over the project and get it out of the hands of the guys like illfonic who everyone knows how successful they were with friday the 13th. I bought the game last year on playstation and I was waiting for 10 minutes for them to find me a game, it's a shame that the people at gun threw mud in a game that could be over.

The game is dead. GUN dropped it and will no longer create new content or fix bugs. Don't waste your money.

Played thousand of video games in my life, and this mf turns out to be biggest peace of sh*t i ever wasted my time and money on. Coming back to my review... don't get me wrong here, TCM got to be my favorite slasher of all time. Game's good as well but devs destroyed it to the point its unplayable. I encounter bugs in every single match. Never seen a game this broken. This could have been a masterpiece but its what it is.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME Not even a year into release, they have discontinued support, that means no more development/support. This game is dead, no on plays it. Do not buy another game from gun interactive, they cannot be trusted to keep a game alive for more than 3 months.
