I really wanted to like this game, but the combat is very unsatisfying, & the game is mostly just combat. When you only have one mechanic, it needs to be a good one. Everything feels very floaty. There's not enough impact, & the parry system feels pointless; when you parry an enemy it should stun them, or enable a riposte attack like in Darksouls or Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Here it just mitigates the damage of melee attacks. It just doesn't feel good to play.

Combat is very fun but some enemies feel quite punishing, and you end up in rather boring combat situations i.e. timing Knightmares. Blocking also felt useless at a certain point as there's just too many enemies and it didn't feel reliable (potentially a skill issue though). The levels are fun and fast but wasn't much to them in terms of points of interest, but maybe that's not the point of the game. I enjoyed the enemy types and they're weaknesses to different spells etc. I think with more weapon types could help boost the games appeal. I think the game has a great foundation, and think it would benefit greatly from a story mode. Moreover, the game's general menus and transitions between screens feel a little cheap and could do with a refresh. All in all, very fun game!
