A truly wonderful game, it is immersive, slightly difficult and very fun and addicting. I love the mechanics of absorbing powers ala the ender series in a creative way and the leveling up aspects. I had a blast with this and enthusiastically told a couple friends to dive into it as well. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to others that dig on action adventure metroidvanias.

This is a solid metroidvania for the genre fans. It clearly takes a lot of inspiration from Elder Lillies, so if you liked that one, this is also a good one to try.

Fun little metroidvania. Good story. Graphics are reminiscent of Nine Sols. Bosses are not particularly challenging usually taking just a few tries to get through, but that's good.

Biomorph is a pretty interesting metroidvania. The genre is oversaturated so any genuine creativity is a breath of fresh air. Abilities/mobility upgrades are unique as the main character morphs into defeated enemies to access new areas and solve puzzles. The level design and boss fights are pretty solid, although nothing was truly challenging or felt like mastery of gameplay was needed. I think I'd be much higher on this game had I not played Ender Lillies (which has similar gameplay mechanics but takes them to a much higher level). Biomorph is a good game overall, but could have benefited from pushing the player more in boss fights and platforming challenges. Side note: actually read the dialog or you will get lost frequently.

Amazing game. Beautiful art, interesting world, the morphing system gimmick can be as fun and useful as you want it to be, or it can just be another set of tools that you choose to mostly ignore, if you so choose. Personally I enjoyed the hell out of the system. Utilizing them in boss fights made the encounters so much easier and more manageable. The game deserves so much more love and to be placed in the pantheon next to hollow knight, but I can very much see how it wouldn’t resonate with everyone. Thankfully, with the extremely clever story, and its clever critique of the world’s consequential relationship with dirty energy, it hasn’t entered into the ludicrous foray of culture wars, being labeled as the new caveman’s “fire bad!” term of “woke”. It’s clever, poignant, and worthwhile. Well written. The combat is fun, and can be augmented or completely changed up to whatever build that you choose. Between the chips, mementos, and biomorphs, there’s an endless degree of build freedom and play style options. I found it brave that the game is one of the only Metroidvanias without a double jump. If you think that’s a negative against it, you’re wrong. What it utilizes instead, allows for much more freedom and tactical advantage in fights and exploration. If you want a really unique and fun metroidvania experience, look no further. This is what you’ve been waiting for. It has elements of Metroid, Castlevania, and all of the pantheon, but takes it and blends them all perfectly, never feeling like a direct lift or rip off, like so many others have. It played perfectly on my ROG Ally Z1 Extreme. No framerate drops or issues, and the playability/controls are spot on, buttery smooth, and controls exactly as you want it to. Not once did I find myself frustrated with the movement or combat.

This game looks great, is innovative and decently fun. It also has a lot of QOL features — other metroidvanias should take note. What it lacks, though, is challenge. A little more difficulty would do it good.
