its blackjack + a little "rogue like" basically, really simple fun.
Your HP carries over into the next "fight" and you can use excess HP to buy perks, which can make the rounds a bit easier for you. Obviously luck plays a role too :P

Its like a roguelike, but blackjack? It sounds kind wild on paper but in practice it works really well.

It's blackjack with a bit of a dungeon crawler RPG thrown in.
Very simple, easy to lose time playing.
Art and music style remind me of something I would have played on a library computer in the late 90's early 2000's
like a standalone mini game.
I would be very interested to see this what else this developer has in store, because I can't stop playing.

Its a nice fun game to play. I will say to make sure and buy skills because you need the 22 blackjack skill to beat Edmond, also the card that lets you surrender is a good help. It was a great simple game definitely worth the price tag. The only thing I wish the creators had done was if you play through like 3000 cards then you automatically win the match that way you wouldn't be stuck on the same match forever.

The Count of Monte Carlo is a novel take on blackjack, in retro style. I think it balances difficulty and enjoyment well--it can be frustratingly hard while figuring out the peculiarities of some of your opponents, which only makes beating them more satisfying. Definitely one of the better digital card games I've played, with all the arcadey goodness that keeps you hooked.
9/10, buy this game if you like blackjack!

At this current time, I am the best player in the world at this game. Just try and beat me, really go ahead. I doubt you can match my skill.
In all seriousness, great game. It really makes me think about what sort of weird twists can be put and everyday card games. You get certain upgrades to your deck as you play the game. These upgrades can change your strategies as you play, and some have really interesting synergies.
10/10 would recommend.
