Why is this called Quiet Valley when the whole game is actually in a school?
IMSCARED style looks, the FOV is very odd, unique but confusing all the same. The "monster" is extremely simplistic and boring, aside from that: Key hunting, yes our favorite task in indie horror games.

It's not the Devs fault that you people don't have basic brain function.
Movement is easy and I enjoyed the experimental perspective, too many people complain about it but it is honestly just because they have the brain power of a rat much like all other steam reviewers that shit on games for apparently not fitting their small powered brains and is "too much" for their poor lil blobs of jelly in their head.
Good game, I enjoy.

I'm gonna say it's still worth playing despite the weird fish eye filter. Not much happens and I can't say it's scary in any way but the story is interesting and the notes flesh it out just enough. There's something charming about the game's simplicity.

Game made me dizzy and nauseous with its weird camera angle thing. Based on the screenshots this seems to be intentional. While I appreciate that that may perhaps have been the point, unfortunately that is a little too much for me to handle and I cannot recommend it.
It also did this weird thing where if you have the "Sensitivity" set to anything higher than 0, or whatever value is represented by sliding it all the way to the left I suppose, the camera constantly spins to the left regardless of whether or not you're touching the mouse, further exacerbating the issue. I'm sure the developer will likely fix this in the future, probably, but it still made me genuinely ill and I don't appreciate that.

Interesting and brutal storyline with the odd jump scare since this game is very quiet most of the time.
I will give it a hesitant thumbs up with my main complaint being the weird. pixelated fish-eyed view. I am not the type that gets sick or dizzy playing games but this is pretty much the only game that made me feel weird and had to have my eyes adjusted to normality when I was done playing it. A crappy, confusing design IMO.
Otherwise it is a pretty solid little indie-horror game with multiple endings and a few secrets scattered around that you probably won't discover on your first playthrough.
Curious to see what this developer has in store for the future but PLEASE don't have a fish-eyed FOV.

A trippy horror title with a unique aesthetic that tells the story of a school tragedy.
First and foremost, I would caution against anyone with motion sickness issues getting this title, as the environment constantly shifts around in very wibbly-wobbly ways as you move. You can watch the trailer to get more of a sense of what I'm talking about.
This is not an action-packed game where you have to constantly worry about sprinting away from some sort of monstrosity, but rather, the focus is on exploration, puzzle-solving, story-telling, and atmosphere.
The "save whenever you please" system is nice. Makes nailing down 100% on your trophy list that much easier.
Game runs pretty smooth, and I didn't encounter any bugs.
I think my only gripe would have to be how difficult it is sometimes to get around solid objects and find the appropriate walking area. Though honestly, in the end, given that you're not ever in any immediate danger, getting snagged on a desk every so often isn't a huge deal.
Enjoyed this quite a bit. Story's nice and messed up. Definitely recommending. ^_^

I haven't done a positive indie horror game review in a while so let's do one now. I just finished this game and although it definitely has some small issues, it was enjoyable enough that I felt a good review was warranted.
So, let's get the bad out of the way first. The bad also happens to sort of be good as well (yeah I know, it's complicated lol). It's the visual style. Honestly it's very disorienting and it made my head hurt while playing. However, it also adds something really unique to the experience. there are going to be people that hate it. There will be people who love it and those that see it both ways. I'm in the middle. I think it was necessary to make the kind of game they wanted to make but unfortunately, my head was not appreciative of the style they chose.
Other than that, there wasn't very much combat and I thought originally that combat might have been more of a focus in the game. In fact, it's such a very small portion of the game you may as well say the game doesn't have combat at all. For the most part, you're going to be looking for keys and solving some small puzzles. Along the way, you can discover some secrets and get 1 of (what I believe to be) 2 endings: Good and Bad. I received the bad ending on my first playthrough while finding all documents and 1 out of 2 secrets in 39 minutes.
That allows me to touch on something else that's slightly disappointing - the length. But, reaching back to the art style, if it was much longer I probably wouldn't have been able to finish it. So, considering it's roughly $5 for around 40 minutes of game time (possibly longer if you explore more and go for both endings) I think it's not too bad. To me, price to length is worth it.
I do wish you could move this game into full screen. I'm not sure if there's a way to go fullscreen or not but I couldn't figure it out. And the mouse kept coming out of the game so I had a hard time with the 4 digit keycode puzzle because the mouse kept moving out of the screen when I'd try to change the digits and confirm. Small issue but it was a little frustrating.
Overall, it's a decent game. Price to length ratio is good, the artstyle is weird/unique and really works even if it's a bit disorienting, there's plenty of exploration. There's a few puzzles and the story is good. I don't want to spoil anything but you find notes (20 of them) that explain a little bit about what's going on and that helps fill you in on the things you've seen and heard around the school.
This game isn't going to completely blow you away. It's not about fighting tons of monsters and lots of blood and gore but it is a neat little indie game with a good enough story and a great amount of exploration. If any of that sounds good to you, go ahead and give it a shot. If not, maybe wait for a sale or pass.
If you want to see some gameplay (featuring the bad ending) check out my video over on Youtube. Just keep in mind that you'll probably be spoiling a good portion of the game for yourselves. If it looks good shortly after you start watching, I'd recommend not finishing the video so that you can enjoy it for yourselves:
