An interesting game inspired by classic adventures and some of its traditional mechanics. But with an original setting, the rain forest, and characters inspired by Brazilian folklore. Quite enjoyable.

Really good adventure game about brazilian folklore, a theme not that much explored. The basic mechanics reminds me old Zelda titles! Exploring previous areas with new abilities and finding all feathers and others collectibles is fun! Recomended!

Nice and colorful adventure game!
You can see that the developer took inspiration from Zelda, particularly Wind Waker, and transported to the theme of the Amazon Forest.

I love games with the theme of Brazilian folklore. I really liked the Caapora Adventure, I loved the puzzles and the game environment. I am looking forward to the official launch. Congrats to the devs!

This game is clunky and confusing in a way that makes me not want to keep playing. Instant regret.

Really cute game! I really liked how the game presents the Brazilian Folklore. It was nice to see the culture of my country represented in a game. Recommended!

I played 20 minutes of this game, shut it down and thought well it's early access... what did I expect.
Then I looked at the store page, saw all the positive reviews, stood awhile in uffish thought and decided I owe it to myself to give this a proper go and in turn offer the community an accurate review. I got an hour in and decided that I had seen enough.
Do I recommend this game? ...No.
Do I think after some development, when this game has it's full release it will be worth it? ...No.
There are fundamental flaws in this games development that simply prevent it from reaching its full potential.
First lets talk about the good:
- The game boasts an original soundtrack and the musical scores for each area are unique and well composed. They create a good atmosphere and ambience without being overbearing. The forest temple theme in particular was very pleasant.
- The colourful and classic graphics are rather charming and I personally found them very nostalgic of early PS1 classic platformers such as Crash Bandicoot and spyro.
- The setting is great and those characters presented are each unique with different character traits, that being said little is done to expand on their unique aspects and the writing leads them to fall flat. This is something that, if fleshed out would help the game substantially.
That's all there really is for the good parts, so lets address the bad points, which for many I assume will be what turns them away from this game.
So, the bad:
- There is almost no challenge in this game. All but a handful of enemies can be taken down with one hit. The puzzles are simple, beyond the standard that you could argue the intended audience for the game are children and therefore it's intended to be easy. This is simply a case of pushing blocks forward one or two spaces onto a pressure pad, rarely is much else required. Every enemy seems to drop health items. You will likely not need them. I never once used the shield.
You would think this means the game is focused on adventure, but we'll get to that...
- Dialogue requires re-working as at present there are numerous errors. The game has been translated and the result is sufficient to work with but I would be remiss if I failed to mention it. Also the dialogue and pop up boxes have a tendency to kill that background music I mentioned that I enjoyed so much. This is particularly jarring at an early stage when you receive the strength skill from the sage in the village. It was aggravatingly bad as the music would cut in and out between comment boxes. Even looking at your inventory kills the background music in a clunky fashion.
- There is no real pacing to this game, You begin by running towards a lake with your friends, then once you have control of your character you move, pick up a stick that is dutifully advised to be your first weapon and then... head back the way you just came from? Odd design choice but fine, if you're like me you rummage around in the corners collecting items as any good RPG player is want to do. By doing so you've already completed the first mission. Without even realising. you can collect all the items you need, walk two paces down and there's a dude with a sick animal. He then gives you a club and shield as a reward... you've never even swung the stick at this point, it's already redundant... so you go to the village, fret not it's literally a 2 second walk, a screen to the right, smack a bird, screen to the north, get a potion from the sage, return to the sick animal and then, you get an axe.... already in less than 10 minutes the game has given you three separate weapons, and they don't all serve a different purpose, they replace one another.
This is one of those fundamental flaws I mentioned. Without a challenge, without suitable reward a game loses its purpose. The following missions are all of similar ilk.
- So what about the adventuring. Well for a game that intends to sell itself entirely on the adventure it's very lacking in that department. Collectables aren't exactly hidden, there's simply lots of them. Environments offer far too little in the way of change to entice exploration and the first large open area you find to the west of the village is just that, a large open area. There is almost nothing in it to explore, just plains...
- There are annoying bugs which is expected of any early access game, entering some screens causes the floor to fall out and the character model just falls into space for a few minutes before it all resets. The screen seemed to be rolling in places and a mouse cursor appears on screen but as you move around with the WASD keys its flies around the screen randomly. All small things to be fixed no doubt but with so many other things leaving this game lacklustre I would fear the fixes little to better the situation.
There are other issues naturally but I won't go into them all. I think from this point many will have made their own mind up and as it's only going for a small price some may see no reason not to support a games developer by giving it a whirl.
One last key thing I'll note however, which I think was the biggest gripe for me and will be for many. This game feels small, and that may be for a very specific reason. As the game loads a small finger icon appears in the bottom right hand corner and coupled with the unclear purpose and interaction of the on screen cursor this leaves me thinking that this is and has always been intended as a Mobile game.
If so no mention of this is, at the time of my review, made on the store page. Instead it is sold as a full experience and I feel misleads many in doing so.
Who knows, maybe as the time goes on and more is added to the game we'll see it become better. It could simply be a case where the common practice by developers of throwing out near finished games as early access has left me expecting more from others and as such I delved into this with high hopes. I would very much like that to be the case and a year from now be left eating my words. But until then, I simply cannot recommend this product.

Don't let the good reviews fool you.
Abysmal controller support, settings don't save, bad writing with a lot of typos. Entering a new area always shows the transition fade AFTER you've entered the new area. Combat is slow and not at all engaging. If you click to see dialogue faster it skips the dialogue entirely and even on "fast" text speed, it's very slow. Some objects glow when you can pick them up, but objects you can gather from more than once continue to glow even after you've expended it. The animation to gather is also very slow.
This was all in 20 minutes. Going to play for another half an hour to see if it can redeem itself. If not, this review stays.
Edit: It gets worse. So apparently you can hold the shield defense button and attack without ever leaving the shield animation. Got stuck in the first cave, because even though I had placed a rock on the button to a door, the door closed behind me. Fast forward to after I redid the cave, I'm in my first "dungeon" and all of the doors open simply by stepping on the button, without the need for a rock weight. The only rocks are at the very start of the dungeon. Then you get to a door that closes before you can reach it and the button is behind a block-push puzzle. So you run all the way back to the beginning and slowly throw one of the rock weights back to that button, redoing any tiny puzzles on the way back, since they reset.... The rock weight floats over the button and won't open the door. I tried to move the rock and put it back on the puzzle again, but instead of dropping the rock he yeets that mofo. Now I need to get a new rock.
