Dread Nautical Reviews
Your cruise was so relaxing until the monsters from another dimension showed up to kill everyone. Fight them off, manage your resources effectively, and convince scattered survivors to join your efforts. A captivatingly eerie tactical turn-based RPG.

If you really enjoy this genre of games and this game is at least 50% off, then I'd say to go for it. Otherwise, the game isnt worth it. So far, the story and graphics are nice but the controls make it difficult to truly have fun playing. I have a touchscreen computer, so some controls require that I touch my screen and others work with the mouse. I cannot look at the details of the items I find so Im just blindly consuming them to see what they do. Unless I press the weapon in inventory exactly in the middle of the icon, it registers as a move command and in the middle of a battle, it's extremely annoying. Speaking of annoying, the voice acting doesnt add to the game imo. I considered asking for a refund but I doubt steam will allow me to at this point. This game has been out since April 2020 and just released on steam, I assume to recuperate as much losses as possible since there's virtually no fan base, no wiki page for more info, and barely any playthroughs.

Automatically selects the language for you when starting the game, which is annoying in itself and makes the developer look lazy in my opinion. If you can't program a simple option into the game to change language, just leave it in English, please.
And then, in the third mission/day, I couldn't open a door because I didn't get a key card from a character for some reason, and couldn't go back. So I think I'll just refund this for now. Not recommended.

Dread Nautical bring tactical and survival challenges to play. you can search for supplies and gears. you can choose if you wish to engage the enemies or sneak pass them to complete the floor. I find this game to be fun and challenging. Also who and how many survivors you recruit affect your gameplay in term of food and dividing resources.

A fun game, with an interesting storyline, beautiful design, and nice mechanics. They do seem easy at first, but the game gets more difficult and challenging as you go. It's worth giving it a try

I have mixed thoughts about Dread Nautical. I like how you can collect survivors depending on how your relationship progresses with them. The lovecraftian graphics are vector-style and it really suits the game. As much as I would recommend this game, the cons are frustrating and somewhat a grind to enhance your survivors.
PROS: Tactical challenge, skill tree, storyline
CONS: Limited equipment slots, expensive repair, feeding survivors

Fun game, if you can get over some annoyances. The story is good. The battles are fun.
Bad things:
Low replay value.
Part of your party can get stuck outside of a room when you get "ambushed". This makes for the annoying practice of "rushing characters into a room at the start of a fight". Gotta do that as fast as possible... and it is very silly and annoying.
A threat system starts up when you hit floor 10. The game is way more fun without it. I don't want to think about how to collect loot after a battle in the least possible amount of steps (because threat goes up with every move) It doesn't make the runs more interesting, it just makes it more annoying, and you have to keep going straight towards the exit on every map.
Repair costs are different for every item. Some of the costs are too high. It sucks when you get a new more powerful item, only to figure out that it just costs too much to actually use. While in battle you start thinking "should I shoot it with my rifle? Each shot costs me 30 scraps, I think I'll just attack it with my dagger"
Stuns last for 2 turns. (on both sides) Like why? 1 turn stuns are overpowered in every game already. Why go with 2 turn stuns?
One armor slot. So annoying when the only way you can pick up an item, is to drop your current item. You can't pick up any piece of armor, because you wear one already. I picked up an armor piece thinking it would be better than my current one, but after upgrading it to lvl 10, I find out it is worse. That's because upgrades also make zero sense and add have different benefits for different items.
