My play time is how long it took to beat totally blind and no looking up guides. The game is a fairly easy puzzle solver where you need to figure out how to make the flowers bloom. Nothing too abstract that will leave you scratching your head and new areas unlock as you progress making it fairly safe that the previous chapter won't be used to grow a new flower. Grow all the flowers, win.

I LOVED this game! It was so peaceful and figuring out the clues was fun. It was nice to imagine a beautiful home and garden. It didnt take too long either. Loved it!

Really fun. Plant puzzles felt like they were modelled after an escape room: collect a bunch of clues, figure out which ones group together, and then make it so. Less challenge in the interpretation, more in the discovery and categorization. The room/chapter progression puzzles, where present, felt a little more arbitrary, and I did particularly struggle with
the Orangery
, eventually giving up and following a guide. Overall, I enjoyed playing it leisurely in a series of short play sessions over a few days while on vacation. A note on performance: I played primarily via CrossOver on an M1 MacBook Air, where frame times were extremely inconsistent. I also took it for a quick spin on my Steam Deck to see if it worked any better there, which it didn't. Average FPS was much higher with volumetric lighting off, but the frame pacing was very poor either way. Given the game's simple art style and low Windows system requirements, I suspect this is some pathology in Wine's graphics stack; pragmatically, though, I would caution against playing on a non-Windows system if you want to have a good time. Regardless, the “Verified” Steam Deck compatibility feels unwarranted.

Botany Manor is on par with What Remains of Edith Finch, but is quite unique in its own right. The world is beautifully sculpted, both aesthetically and historically, and the pieces of lore about you (Arabelle) that are strewn throughout the manor help you embody the character. Also, you can sit on practically every chair, and since she's in her 50-60s, gives her feet a well deserved rest. The puzzles are not overly complex or need you to rely on outside knowledge to complete, and the game progresses at a nice clip. I highly, highly recommend this game.

I love the game. I love the puzzles. But wait until the game is on sale by more than 20% because it's pretty expensive for less than 3 hours of playtime. I would understand the price more if they planned to expand the game with more chapters, but that is not the case.

a fantastic puzzle game, shorter than i expected - i could have played this for hours. some of the puzzles were quite hard, when I didn't keep track of the clues in the later chapters it got confusing fast but once I was back on track it was easy. all the achievements can be gained just by playing the game through.

I tried this game after playing the demo. It is not typically the type of game I purchase. I am beyond glad i purchased it! I enjoyed the puzzles. They were not horribly, difficult, but enough that i felt the satisfaction after solving them. I enjoyed the underlying story, that was offered. My favorite thing, by far, is being able to explore the mansion and the property. The property is beautiful and immersive. The flowers are cute and i enjoy that i can decorate with them during and after the game. The only things I wanted more of was secret areas. Do not get me wrong there are secret areas....I just wanted more. Also, I wanted more flowers to grow. The game has a good amount but 2-3 more would have been perfect.

I wish this game was longer. Puzzles weren't that hard also weren't too easy. At some point it was little bit confusing since I had like two different flower clues but I managed it. Very beautiful and calming game.

Game is great. Puzzles are pretty easy but enjoyable, vibe is fantastic, music is solid, and the story is well told. All around good time. But it's also $25 for less than 3 hours of play. I hate to not recommend this, but it's an absurd price for what you're getting.
