I played the demo for this game a while back, and I was super excited to play once it came out! Now that I've finished the game, I want to say I absolutely loved it. I loved the challenges of the puzzles, some had me stumped for a good bit. I love this era (1890s) and I love anything plant related so this scratched an itch I've had for a while. The scenery is beautiful, and I love the art style in general! The grounds of the manor felt huge and I was so excited to explore. I also absolutely loved reading all about Arabella's life and struggles with all the bits of story you pick up along the way. It took me about 7 hours to beat the game and 100% all achievements, though I will admit I took my time strolling through the gardens. This is an absolute delight of a game, in my opinion, I'm so happy I got to play it.

What a lovely flower this game is! Great balance in gameplay and puzzeles. It is really calm and just lovely - but under the surface there is a fine (and frustrating!) story about gender discrimination (historical accurate I guess). But there is no lecturing so it works perfect.

This is a very pretty and leisurely puzzle game. I just wish you could track clues better inside the game. Realistically, you'll need a notebook (or a walkthrough) unless you have an eidetic memory.

Really lovely and cozy game about growing plants where you have to collect clues and put together the dots. Some of the plants really had me stumped where I knew what I had to do but not how. This was really relaxing but yet still engaging/challenging and the story still managed to pull at my heartstrings. Definitely recommend if you want a cozy puzzle game.

Words can't describe the sheer bliss from playing this game, and this is coming from someone who's not usually into the puzzle/mystery solving story games.
The ASMR experience of entering the world of Botany Manor should be the paramount praise in mentioning the game. You start in a greenhouse, a shroud of mist your first sign of time's neglect and subsequent call to action in solving your first puzzle. The moment of success is lauded with a visible transition from dusty ole hovel to greenhouse grandeur of your most lavish dreams. That exact moment was where I said "whoa, this game knows exactly the feel I'm looking for." Vivid colors, tangible sound effects and atmospheric ambiance, well-laid plots to the garden grounds and even placement of household items and architectural design absolutely sing to the heavens of the thoughtful and well-conceived lengths the developers went to in creating this game. I constantly find myself marveling at how true to life many of these little details can be ("oh yeah, they definitely consulted a real gardener with this detail). At the same time, there's a strong sense of whimsy and 'testing the bounds of botanical reality,' if you will - allowing enormous trees to grow inside, for example.
All in all, a splendid game that serves as such a mental break from the harshness of life, and it's not so difficult as to leave the less gardening-minded folks stuck in the mire (it's me, I'm less gardening-minded). Entertaining, gorgeous, immersive, and conceived with true attention to detail, I cannot give a high enough rating for this game.

I tried the demo of this game a while back, and decided to purchase the full game after a short play. I find it quite relaxing. I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a lo-fi vibe to just play and chill. After 8 hours of deep focus on my Thesis this game is proving to be a great way to wind down mentally.

£22 for 4.5 hours of very basic gameplay. It's a nice game but absolutely not worth the price

This was a very enjoyable game - very pretty, calming music, and puzzles that are satisfying to solve but not so difficult that they're frustrating/you have to look up clues. I do agree with others that it would have been nice to see clues directly in your book, but the game does tell you when you found them so it's easy to go back and check. The overall aesthetic and concept of the game was wonderful.
It took me about 3 hours to complete, which, for $24.99, seems a little short. I wish some of the chapters had been a little longer, or that additional chapters had been added. I would still recommend, but maybe if it's on sale. $10-15 seems like a more reasonable price.

Short, cozy, delight of a game. Fictional plants with very accessible puzzles, Victorian set dressing, and sharp environmental story-telling. I finished it in 5 hours and drank in the experience.

I did enjoy this game. The scenery was very calming, and the puzzles were creative yet not too difficult. I do agree with some of the other reviews that it would have been nice to have a way to view the clues you had previously found in the book rather than having to go back to the places you found them and reread them. I've spent about 4.5 hours on this game and have completed it and all its achievements, without looking up a single clue, which is something I often do in other games. That being said, the puzzles weren't difficult and they made it satisfying when you did solve them. However, I bought this game on sale for like $17 but even that I think is overpriced. I would probably feel more satisfied with it if it were twice the length or half the original cost. So I do not recommend it purely for the high price, but otherwise a very pretty game.
