I finally got around to playing this from my backlog. Not that impressed. It introduces a variety of odd card mechanics too quickly to really explore and master each; and the story is so-so bordering on cliched (yup, the bad guy was exactly who I thought they'd be). The difficulty assumptions must have been rejigged since launch as I recall the default play-style was originally turn-constrained but that is no longer the case - with a freeplay mode that removes almost all difficulty (and engagement) from the game. So your choices are basically a turn-capped mode ("game plus") which is too stringent for the copious amount of new card mechanics they introduce; or a mode conceding to this fact by having no difficulty at all.
