patch required for the fun stuff. i don't care for the rpg maker gameplay and always find navigating the overworld annoying; that's especially the case here with no quest markers and missing objective text to guide you in the slightest. if you can get past that, the nsfw scenes on offer here are pretty good.

Positive ---------------- - The presence of people in the city where the game takes place makes one feel that the city is alive. - Their relationships with the female characters are not noticeable to you within the story. It's like a part of your life. - In fights, characters have their own fighting styles and animations. - The story is not just about talking, it is supported with videos. - There are different difficulty levels and monsters. - Characters have their own backgrounds and personalities. - The maps are realistic, there are side missions, the whole story or missions are not about killing, sometimes they are about escaping or reaching the individual without being caught. - It leaves certain parts of character strengthening to us. Negative -------------- - Maps are short and few in quantity. - The ending of the story is the same, only the ending changes with the female character. - The story does not affect the survival of the city. I couldn't see its impact on the city until the last episode. - Side quests have no connection to the story, and except for a few quests, it is not clear why a monster hunter does these quests. - Except for the main character and one or two characters, the history of the other characters is very shallow and not explored much. - If there are no mandatory patches, the game is for those aged 15+ - Your relationships with female characters are not evident in the story. - There is a phone, but it is useless except for a few tasks.

The art is cool and all, but I just cant recommend it, especially at full price. My biggest gripe mostly goes to the mc, its like he was written by a weeb redditor's idea of cool, whose idea of hobby is spending watching chinese moving pictures. It ended up with me basically skipping the story every time he ''opens'' his mouth. Fuyune's 3rd event was just... like why would you pick her up, princess style, when the dude is still there being confrontational, what if he had a weapon and lunged at you, use her as a meat shield? Or how about him getting injured and ending up skipping 1 fight, to act all like ''I dont have time to bleed''? Dude! You literally have a teammate who can heal you literally by touch, like are you brain dead? Im prob getting old, cause I cant stand this shonnen tier bs writing. And this is a weird one, this game has slowdowns, like legit frame drop into single digits. How, I dont get em from more intensive games? I dunno, I guess I could change my recommend if the devs fix the slowdown. But if you want my recommendation for a good degen hgame, get Karryn's Prison its great.

If you played the first Apostle, you'll love this one. It has it's flaws like the zoom feature to find hidden items and the insanely slow "running" speed that's coupled with a pretty big city to explore. But the art quality is top tier, the characters are enjoyable, the story is good (yes, a H game with an enjoyable story how rare is that?) and the world feels lived in unlike a lot of RPGs even main-streamed ones today. Edit: Actually, let's make that 7/10. If you're here for the H, well....you get one right away but the rest are gotten after hours of gameplay. Still not sure yet if they are repeatable as I haven't completed the game yet. They could have used the sprite H they created to allow some NPC fun.

Apostle is that game that feels like it goes too slow or is too generic, then you come back to it because you remember the art is really good and scratches that itch, and then you pick it up in the generic sci fi story and end up enjoying the heck out of the late game. Dunno what it is, but the first one was like that for me, and I look forward to getting a similar feeling here.

The music and visual presentation make it really difficult to tell this is even an RPGmaker game. This is clearly a passion project and NOT an asset flip, so if you saw RPGmaker and are rightfully skeptical of NSFW shovelware game #9999, Apostle: Rebellion is not that. With that elephant in the room out of the way and it's phenomenal first impressions aside, this game does have some problems. As much as I like the world building, a lot of the dialogue is just cringe. When it comes to world building, and there is a lot of it, you are fed some of the most out of pocket and nonsensical exposition from characters who just blurt out info to you for no reason (for example a notorious slaver just telling you about the criminal underworld and it's logistics despite knowing you're basically a fed). Despite this, you are given a glossary to read at your own convenience for all the world-building that doesn't happen this way which is literally the worst of both worlds and makes the weak attempts at organic exposition redundant anyway. If we can read about the world building on our own, why include all that terrible and shoe-horned exposition?? The MC is your cardboard cutout harem protag who only gets beaten in cutscenes and makes every girl cream their panties in a 10m radius because of his innate "coolness". All in all though I still think Apostle: Rebellion is worth the price of entry, and perhaps even your time. The presentation is quite good, and cringe moments aside the story-beats and general world building are still compelling and interesting. The combat is serviceable (which means way better than most other RPGmakers), and the dialogue (which there is a lot of) is endearing when it isn't being cringe, generic or info-dumpy. Also all the girls have massively fat tits for some reason. Like 9/10 of them. IDK if that became a dominant gene in the future or something, but it's too omnipresent to not at least mention.

Its great, massive improvement from the first game, but the sound effect are abit dull tbh. there are some lags (my pc are fine handling modern games btw) Not much to complain, hoepfully someone could make walkthrough guides cuz i hate going in blind XD (for the H-scenes im talking about)

Game Length: 8Hours+ Kamichichi games were never really under this amount of content. 5/5 Story: Really well done compared to devs previous games 5/5 Gameplay: Exactly what an RPG Should feel like, defining enemy weaknesses and skill trees! 5/5 Music: Rpgmaker assets + Some DOPE beats! 5/5 Art: cmon artist is Tetsu which he did all character art and Hscenes for Kamichichi. Uncensored and Patch Required 5/5 Grand Total: Perfect! Absolutely Perfect! 10/10 Now don't go comparing this game to a FPS game or whatever, game has been given an honest statistical opinion in its categories....it could be lower for some people, might not be their games. Apostle 2: Rebellion is amazing compared to Apost 1. Everything about this game looks absolute and each time Kamichi launches a game they do not dissapoint! Their menu is amazing, when selecting a potion to use on ur team from the party menu is unique! The combat menu spinning around in the center of the screen so totally not RPGMaker, I've touched RPGMaker and I know the basics to operate a game but to completely change up the base interface of RPGMakers software like scripts and making your own custom everything...Kamichichi's games feel so worth your bucks compared to other devs honestly. Combat is nice, you have characters classed in their own categories, some supportive, others having ability to provoke and tank. and etc...A nice roster which creates more team comp versatility. Enemies have multiple variations of weaknesses....enemies hit real hard and forces players to often make use of their items and revives. I haven't come across any cheesy Full HP/MP recovery fountains but there are NPCs that help sell items to recover along the way! Game is challenging and grinding is always an option...Players can reduce grinding with increase of difficulty! If players want to just enjoy the game can always lower the difficulty to easy from the default normal difficulty. Kamichichi games usually have multiple Endings, which is really nice to have in a game. Kamichi games usually have replay value as there are specific 1 time events for a partner to invite ex. a date. Due to the replay value theres a high chance of NewGame+....all of Kamichi's previous games have had NG+/carry over. The game has RPGMaker SFX assets and also includes a good amount of banger soundtracks that don't seem to belong from RPGMaker. The art and visual of the game is starting to leave the RPGMaker assets, I can barely recognize them now...Not only that theres a lot of Cutscenes and 3D animations which is DOPE! I haven't come across any rpgmaker game dev that has animated cutscenes! As for story content, they are definitely improving and starting to become on par with more up there game devs! I wont spoil content here in my review. With this being their 4th game launched I can truly feel the potential that Kamichi is attempting to reach! A game that just goes beyond rather than the some cloned rpgmaker game re-using all of its assets. Lastly if you're looking for a Nut'n'Go...this is not the game for you. It's not an int'ing game, it's a game that witholds standards and tradition....like your visual novels before you can see the good stuff with your waifu you must reach that point in the game! Highly recommend for anyone who likes Lewds in a Game that tries to go beyond! Going on my Indies Hgames shelf! Definitely gifting this to friends! Don't needa wait for a sale this, this is going to be indies H-RPG of the year on steam!

I wish there was a neutral review, but I suppose I should justify why this is negative. First off, the game is a visual spectacle, it's incredible what they have done with RPG maker, there's cutscenes and the fluidity of movement is incredible. The art is very hot, if you love girls with massive tits. Combat is basic but fun, with more components beyond the very simplistic RPG maker combat. Kudos on that. However, the dialogue is beyond cringe worthy. It is the most expositional dialogue you have EVER read. The characters are constantly spousing information both of them already know, for the sake of the player, and it makes any scene in which there is information they have to share incredibly tedious. Secondly and even more importantly, the sex scenes are incredibly bland. With so many different girls and even VR girls from other games (very nice touch) kinks are... non existent here. There's practically no anal, extremely limited boobjobs, very little exhibitionism, no BDSM, nothing beyond vainilla. While this could be easily forgiven if the story was good... welp... Every girl is in love with the main guy who is the MC'est MC that has ever MC'd to who personality is a sin, not a virtue. It's the most typical harem story with some girls jealous of others while pursuing him, and he bangs them all because of his... charm? Manliness? Basically he says something that I think is supposed to be a compliment for the girls and they throw themselves at him and want to bang immediately. All in all, it's not a bad game, just with incredibly cringy and unreal dialogue and story, and basic combat and fantastic visuals. So while it's pretty look at, the game is incredibly shallow and basic. Oh, and forget about any type of choice in this game, there's no such thing beyond choosing what girl to spend your time with first, no other choice really matters in this game, which sucks.

I never thought I'll ever touch a Kagura Game. Usually they publish low quality rpg maker games one after another trying to cash in as much as they can on our beloved eroge lover community , but this one has actual effort put in to it. Hell the eroge part is not even it's main focus, it takes time and progression to have your way with anyone. The things you need to know about the game: -Great music -Great animations -partial voice acting -Multiple difficulty settings -Good animations on your team (not so much on the enemy team sadly) -Story is decent. The protagonist is actually not a complete idiot this time too. -Every girl for some reason has gigantic boobs. So if you are not in to that, don't even bother. -The patch from Kaguras website is a MUST. Big chunk of the game is cut out without it. -Overall great production value for its asking price. Clearly a lot of work was put in to the game, unlike 95% of the other Kagura games. -You have the option to skip random battles with a press of a button. -You can go god mode if you don't wanna bother with the combat for some reason. -No corruption system or any kind of special kink support (aside from the huge boobs). This is a straight forward cyberpunk story with lots of VN style sex options. -Your choices are just set dressings, don't really matter much. Sadly the only thing that holds the game back, is the lack of controller support. Otherwise this would be a high recommendation from me.
