I was enjoying the game.. it has a nice humour, but that is not enough. The game has glitchy collisions that make it really hard/impossible to place a hamburguer on a dish without it flying everywhere and you missing it. The game could also have a bit more care on different characters, better voice acting, better music, more interesting environment.. However, the screen height adjustment and repositioning are better and simpler than other VR games

I really want to like this game. It's just too half-baked at this point. A lot of the mechanics in this game rely upon fast movement, and multi-tasking. This game punishes you via physics-coliders that make you fail plates simply because of small movement errors. This translates to a poor VR experience. I think with enough time, the developers can fix a lot of these issues by having larger dead zones, and less punishment for small movement errors during cooking/plating/serving. But right now, it's not a fun experience.

Awesome game! Amazing for showing off VR to friends! Graphics are great, the VR controls are spot on, the gameplay loop is addictive and fun! Definitely a recommend. This is VR done right!
Hey Devs, can we get Valve index support? Finger tracking would be amazing.
OH, also you need to add the game to twitch, there was no category for me to stream it to.

I am not sure i can recommend this game in the current state, it seems and looks really fun but right now the game has a couple of issues.
-Some of the timers are way to unforgiving once you get up to the first "boss" night, too many things to juggle and balance at the same time to keep up with the timers and multiple dishes.
-The physics in regards to when items dissapear, at least half the time i try to get finger fries done i end up tipping it over and it just goes "poof" and i have to start over, same with some plates and cups, if i had knocked it off the bar top then it would be understandable, but when the timers are so short rushing to get things like finger fries done, and having it tip over and forcing you to start over is pretty much requiring me to have to hit retry and i cannot get past night 10 with the goal completed.
Will update and change my opinion if the experience improves past this point, i have been having some fun with it otherwise but its gotten to a point where i am extremely frustrated and am not sure if i can progress any further.

As an irl bartender, I am not too sure why i choose to bartend in VR but i can't help it. This game is amazing, and addicting. You get to multitask with funny little zombie ingredients and you can throw bottles at a zombie grandma. The only downside I have experienced was i dropped a bottle and hit my face on the desk, but that's hardly the games fault. 10/10 would get sweaty and cut my face again.

I wanted to love this game soooo bad, and I did, until several bugs made it impossible to progress.
I've made it to level 19, struggeling with disappearing fish and fries, plus mustard working randomly, and as other people mention- too little time for given tasks, especially orders with several dishes. Things like trays, cups and plates falls easily over, and often far, so you have to start over. So far, so good, with a little luck I could finish the levels despite of theese annoying bugs, still with a little love for the game.
Then, when two new drinks arrives at level 19, everything stops. The drink from the shaker can not be poured into the cup, or it pours, but the cup is still just as empty. I feel like I have tried everything, and it seems I have to give up.. Is there anyone else who has this problem? I'm so disappointed, kind of hoping it can be fixed.

Devs,
Make an un-timed version of the game and I will change my review.
Players,
Game has a lot of potential to be fun, but the short timers in the game just make it stressful. At this point in time I don't recommend the game to anyone except those with the fastest and most accurate VR reflexes.
UPDATE: Devs asked for input and haven't responded since. I still don't recommend this game.
UDPATE 2 (8-22-21): Came back to check on the game only to find the flaky devs haven't done anything since. This will be the last time I check on this game. VR Factory should be ashamed.

Hey ! The games looks promising but a major flaw is it's missing a way to change the floor height to allow for shorter players to reach some of the items on the bar.
Besides that I would also love to see more physics based iteractions, like for example opening drawers is just a toggle of open/closed.

While this game does look good & promising, it's also lacking in many areas, including content. It very much feels like an Early Access game once you start playing it for any extended amount of time. While I was initially excited playing this game, the more I played it the more dull it became.
While you do learn new recipes as you go along and that keeps things interesting enough, the gameplay loop is just too slow-paced. Especially at the beginning of playing the game, there isn't enough challenge. For example, you learn to make burgers and it's cool how you grind up the liver, brains, or heart and then fry the meat in the grill while flipping it over. You toast the moldy bread and then you always put the ketchup and mustard. There's never any variation on those condiments (you add moldy cheese and bacon later). There's just no reason not to start out with some ketchup only or some mustard only or both or none. It makes zero sense.
Also, while you flip burgers over, you don't flip the squid over. Your hands can phase through the aquarium to get the squid. Then it doesn't matter where you cut it, as long as you're somewhere near the middle, it will always cut in the same place or not at all. If you do something wrong, like leave the food item cooking too long, then the item just magically disappears versus burning.
You collect money from customers but it makes no difference. You either advance to the next stage or you don't. You can't spend the money on anything. While I like the art work & aesthetic in this game, the VR interactions could use a lot of work to be more immersive. Also, you're always seeing the same environment, character models soon repeat themselves over and over, animations too, and the zombie sounds even start sounding tiresome.
You do need a roomscale setup to play this game as you'll need to reach some items within your play space (at least a step to the left and right, and also forward and backwards). You'll also have to turn IRL as there is no smooth or snap turning available. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps on WMR and 72 fps on Oculus Quest 2. On the Oculus Quest 2, I did experience a serious bug where the game would go to the pause menu randomly, without me touching any buttons. Also, I experienced a loading screen in the middle of gameplay that honestly felt like the game was going to crash. It just kind of hung there for several seconds, before continuing on like normal. I only experienced that error once.
Again, the game is in Early Access. The devs do promise to add more content. I certainly hope that the finished product is a lot better than the current one. Buy to support development, but if I'm being honest, I have played much better cooking simulators / bar tending simulators than this one. A cool art style / gross recipes is simply not enough.
Rate 6/10. I bought this game on sale for a little less than $12 USD, because I owned a previous title from the same developer so it may be worth that much, but $20 USD is a big ask for what's currently here.

They say hell is all about pain and misery but those are just rumours,
Horror Bar is one of the many places where zombies and other living dead can feast,
it sounds a bit like a restaurant run by the addams family, and you are the cook!
You can watch gameplay here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xdAGXWmSbo
Horror Bar VR is a fun bar/restaurant simulator for VR with many scary and funny details,
to give just one more example fries are not made from potatoes but from human fingers and don't be alarmed if cockroach gunk sticks to the bottom of your drinking glass
You will have to follow up and prepare orders from customers who come to the bar,
at times you will also have several orders that you must all prepare as quickly as possible,
it is therefore also useful to prepare other meals or drinks during the seconds that you have your hands free, but you can wait with the finish,
after all, you never know in advance whether the customer wants to finish his cocktail with a piece of nose or ear.
The money you make will be able to spend on many items that make cooking easier and faster, or to give your bar more bling and shine,
There is also nothing to complain about in terms of visuals and physics and everything runs as smoothly as baking a brain burger.
