Better than Warshift and the first Executive Assualt. This game gets what those two were efforting to do, rts with fps or rtt with fps. In any event Inheritors 2078 , gets that task completed with nice terrain and generally good engagement on the size of Ashes- though troop count will never get that large, the mini map will remind you most def of Ashes zoomed out to the meta level. Yeah it borrows and innovates and makes a case for a very good game. I did a video that shows what I am talking about - but for a fiver you can experience it yourself- this is good stuff seriously how it escaped notice is beyond me.
The game works and is fun period :) watch my video then share what you think or if you own it let the world know. I dont think my observation is off the game is solid

Crazy fun RTS/TPS. The only thing it needs is more customization to the controls. Flying controls mainly. It's really simple. You start in your base and access different computer terminals to command or control. any unit in the area. You also build buildings and bases within certain areas. The main goal is to eliminate the enemy's main base while defending your own. There are 2 factions with unique units on each side and unlockable ones too.

This is a WONDERFUL RTS game; the units make sense, and the upgrade paths are solid. It feels like some early RTS/FPS games from yesteryear and really ticks most of the boxes.... sure a bit more variety would be nice (and a map editor/mod support), but given this is a small team? it's fine! Bought this for $5 and it's easily the best $5 spend.... still worth $10 as well, it's just plain, simple fun. The MP is pretty dead because people aren't playing, if we could change this, I think it could be an interesting competitive game... do yourself a favor and buy this game!

Hopefully the devs haven't abandoned the game. This is a real diamond in the rough. with continual development this game would be bad ass. give this game a shot especially if you like playing RTS games with friends. it has very unique mechanics that spices shit up.

you guys should totally add some background to the playing field like when in a match i didnt see anything but sand and hils of sand there was no background buildings like in total warhammer 2 or total war rome 2 those are very good examples of what maps should look like and i also feel like instead of check points it should be resources like iron or whatever yall would call the resources in this game also a tech tree top tier addition gives you something else to work towards and also add buildable turrets for your sectors but dont makem overpowered to where the AI couldnt overpower to take back the base but ill keep playing some more in hopes of good updates im counting on you guys

This is a wonderful game! I’ll go over three separate categories that stood out for me, then give a final synopsis. Thanks for checking it out!
Graphics - 9/10 - The graphics are actually pretty fantastic! I run it on a 4K monitor, and it looks great. I didn’t experience any graphical bugs, but I did notice a slight drop in quality for the background and the sky. It seems like a ton of emphasis - rightly so - was towards actual in game characters and actions (explosions, movement, etc). Take note of Total War, for example. Their backgrounds and skies are fantastic. Once that is fixed up, and a larger variety of maps are supplied, it will be great.
Gameplay - 9/10 - The gameplay is truly wonderful. The devs take this untested idea of mixing RTS with FPS/TPS to create a truly unique game. Save a few exceptions, this has never been successfully pulled off. The game itself is extremely smooth, and you get a unique mixture of Halo Wars-esk strategy coupled with MechWarrior TPS. Truly, a wonderful mixture. My only suggestion would be adding a second type of resource to be gathered for higher tier units, like in Starcraft. On top of that, adding a few more game modes (capture the flag, FFA, coop campaigns, etc etc)
Potential - 10/10 - This game still has a ton of potential! The devs stay in constant contact with their player base, and are always willing to take suggestions. I added a few ideas myself, and one of the devs in particular was quick to reply with his feedback. They are soon rolling out new maps, and are even planning on adding new hero units in the future.
All in all, this is a wonderful game. Considering they’re only asking for 12 bucks, this is worth a play. If you are coming from games like Starcraft or Age of Empires, this has every RTS element you could desire. If, on the other hand, you’re coming from games like Call of Duty or Mechwarrior, this contains smooth and functional FPS/TPS elements. The only issue at the moment is a small player base, but everything else is pretty good, and well worth the purchase. Can’t wait to see what they have in store!

I'm glad I got this game. Battles have a unique feel to them compared to others I've played. The feeling of being barraged by bullets and rockets is pretty intense, and I don't know of any games that replicate this exact feeling. I've been waiting for a game like this since Warshift. There are some bugs though. In the tutorial, my troops refused to follow me and then a random rocket sent me flying into the stratosphere until I eventually left the map and the game said I died. It's pretty funny when it happens in certain games, but combat takes awhile and it happened on the final objective. I can easily see putting more hours into the game if the bugs can get patched.

THIS GAME REQUIRES A CONSTANT INTERNET CONNECTION JUST TO PLAY!
if you can get passed that, here's my review:
What is this?
it's an RTS game that tries to combine third person and first person shooter mechanics. It's done fairly well but the concept has been done slightly better in other games such as "BattleZone: Combat Commander" and "Eximius".
Basically the game plays as such; You are a commander in a Command Center called "the Command Ship". From the command center you and 3 other commanders if you decide to play coop can interact with 2 types of Consoles, one that controls a UAV to give you a traditional birds-eye view of the battlefield and another called the "Avatar control center" that allows you to take direct control of your units as a field commander. I will not here that they added a nice touch making the Command UAV an actual unit as well that can be shot down if you get too close to the combat, incentivizing players to utilize the field commander role while the UAV commander acts more as a scout and base manager.
The objective of the game is to take and hold as many capture points as possible to increase your resource revenue and build up a large enough force to destroy your enemy's command center. all the while you're gaining experience and leveling up to unlock new units that can be built in the unit structures you deploy around your base and Capture zones. It's a simple concept that can lead to massive ground battles and epic victories.
While the concept of the game is simple, the core of the game feels empty. There's no music, the battle Narration voice will report incomplete sentences and sounds like it came out of Text to Speech and the first person mode, regardless of what unit you're controlling has the same "view port" texture. If not for these small let downs on top of the fact that you need a constant internet connection JUST to play this game i would have said it'd make a great addition to my collection of niche games. but sadly i can't recommend this to anyone i know.
if i had to rate it, i'd give this a 5 out 10. it's got a nice concept to it, but the execution was a little lackluster, and the requirement for an internet connection just to play just put me off entirely.

I'm going to call this one: Its a diamond in the rough.
The game right now is basically an early access title. The Devs didn't expect the publicity and positive reaction. They initially thought it wouldn't be noticed and thus they planned to ''release and forget'' about the game.
The game will get updates, the game will get polished and added to. The devs said they're gathering feedback now and they will decide on a course to work towards. Terrain updates will happen to make the game look a little more fresh but nothing else is clear yet.
However, this doesn't mean much to people looking to buy the game right now, as of April 16th 2021.
What can you expect if you buy the game now?
RTS:
Its very simple. No adjustable unit cap. The only way to increase this is through capturing zones.
There is just 1 resource which you will get periodically. You can only increase this through capturing zones.
The unit HP is very low, so you constantly lose units. This means you have to go about making new units all the time.
You can upgrade the recruitment bases for levels, but what the levels do exactly I cant tell. Your units do get stronger.
No real reason to fight over anything but the zones. When you have lost all zones, you main base can get destroyed.
Strategy is very limited due to these factors. The main strategy is momentum, lose it and you lose the game against a player. Against a bot you can abuse its passiveness during build up.
FPS:
No customizations to anything but color, but you can switch between FPS and third person view.
You can pick whatever unit you want to play as, which is fun. Didn't check the turrets that you can place, but you can control those on your main base
Your guns go pew, and there's a rough three-way split: single shot, full auto, and rocket weapons.
The landscape is a bit barren, and with the lack of HP and randomization in shots you do feel like there is little wiggle room for tactics in this mode.
Co-op:
I didn't test this yet.
Is the game fun?
Yea, for a little while. The game has me coming back to it every few days, so it isn't bad. I plan on playing it co-op to see if that adds a new level of fun.
I cant say its a good purchase, but I cant say its a bad purchase either.
If you have 10 bucks burning in your pocket, and you want to try something new now and get something better in the future you can buy it.
I wont tell you how to spend your money, I can only tell you how I experienced the game.
