Big recommend, a lot of fun, casual city builder with a lot of nuance and a lot of options.

Urbek is a fun city-builder that earns its place alongside other great city-builders such as the classic Simcity series and Cities-Skylines. Urbek offers a unique and fresh approach to city planning, which requires the player to manage resources rather than finances. The graphical style choice, while perhaps not as dazeling to look at as other city builders, is still very well done, and invokes a more chill atmosphere in the game, and pleasing to the eye. With a little over 33 hours in as of this review, the only drawback I have encountered is that as your city grows, it can become somewhat difficult to keep track of what services have been placed and where. The game does include map layers. However, unless I'm missing something, the map layers do not have a map layer key, so its very difficult to tell what I'm looking at, or how to interpret the data. But, this is the only drawback I have encountered, and what game does not have a few drawbacks? If you enjoy city builders, you will very likely enjoy Urbek.

Urbek is the best city builder I've played in a few years. Dynamically lets you build in a direction that suits your fancy and has emergent mechanics to shape your society socially and economically based on the population you foster. If you're looking for a city builder that prioritizes innovative mechanics over looks while still being artistic/beautiful- this is your game. Of course it has some limitations but that hasn't held me back personally.

It's really disappointing! This is cheating! How is this game marked as verified on the Steam deck and they wrote ALL FUNCTIONALITY IS ACCESSIBLE WHEN USING THE DEFAULT CONTROLLER CONFIGURATION ! I can't switch UI AND MAIN MENU by directional pad! How is this possible? Don't buy it at all! I refund this game!
