the game fundamentally just inst that fun. You basically just tune a bunch of sliders and add to new sliders to effect various numbers. What makes the game interesting is the politics behind it, [obviously] but if you want to live out you political fantasy, just find a corner of Reddit that agrees with your flavour of politics. It will at least be much cheaper. There is just no reliability to this game. Every nation is the same, just with different starting conditions, so it gets boring very quickly

Great game. Strategic but relaxing turn-based games. Requires you to balance numerous conflicting public opinions while making meaningful changes to your nation's economy, foreign policy, tax implementation, and more. High degree of complexity and limitless replay value. Definitely recommend.

Very interesting concept and fun to play. More interactive cabinet/government mechanics would be good
Achievement Hunting Rating 2/5
You will need a guide to get all the achievements and even then some of the situations you need to create are buggy to trigger. I had to add a mod by the developer to trigger one of the achievements. I do enjoy the concept of this game but it's not for everyone with the UI design.

it is not your average little timmy game like subway surfers its a stragedy game of what if you were the president of any of the countries i like it because of that and now my goal is to turn america to socialism

For some reason the game super zooms in on start up and its litterally unplayable when it does this, played it before and had no issues IDK. Pain in the ass but i fixed it

The game is amazing but, the problem is, it is too repetitive. For your next game, you should make sure to make at least a 10000 events, because, less than 50 events becomes repetitive for the casual gamer who loves those kind of games. And i cannot imagine for the gamers who are serious about this kind of game genre, it turns boring fast.

Scenarios are not very realistic, quick google of various policies and debt etc. shows scenarios are horrendously wrong. Most policies seem to demand a transition towards some weird fantasy of an environmental utopia with low taxes. GDP hits a graph cap and can't go higher? Loads of common policies like Rail or Energy nationalisation in the UK is considered unpopular. What?! This is worse than Democracy 3

It's very basic, tends to get boring after one playthrough, it needs more mechanics to play through, more detailed foreign policy and relations with nations, involving institutions and foreign bodies that countries are apart of. Events showing the results of your progress from the policies you've chosen.

Not worth playing. I had fond memories of playing Democracy 3 as a teenager, so I thought I'd pick Dem 4 up on sale. Unfortunately, its 'complex' simulation is depressingly facile. It is so easy to game the system, that there is no challenge. Even the achievements are a dooze! As a politics simulator, this game is not at all nuanced, and presents very little understanding of political ideologies. If I were browsing the Steam sale again, this would be a pass for me.
