Even though it's a good game, it's just too hard for me

soundodger+ was one of my favorite bullet hell games. soundodger 2 feels unfocused and based on spectacle. please stop randomly timeshifting me into bullets. please stop gravitating bullets in arbitrary directions. why is there chromatic aberration. what the hell are the hitboxes on the boomerang and weird squidgy bullets even supposed to be
it just does not feel NEARLY as tightly designed and purposeful as soundodger+ was
im going to go play soundodger+ now

Id like to start first with the fact that some of the cons that i will state are fairly subjective however the pros outweight the cons by a mile.
The game itself is an upgrade in almost every aspect from the previous one. It runs a lot smoother, it has a shit ton of mods that you can modify your session with and all in all just makes playing the previous version of the game kind of useless.
However...this is where the subjective parts comes at. The songs and levels that come with the game are really not that great. The music is fairly bland and most of the levels really dont have that many interesting or unique patterns that are fun to play. I was going through them one after another and for the majority of them i was applying the same strategy and it just felt like a chore. There has only been 1 or maximum 2 levels that i have actually enjoyed in this game.
I even went back to the first game to see if it was just nostalgia or something but no, the levels and songs in the first game are miles better. However most people play it for the custom levels which are goated so unless you specifically play the game only for the already included songs with it there really is no reason to play the first soundodger.
Again, this is fairly subjective but even with that in mind the game has way too many quality of life changes and just all in all more fun stuff than the first one.
