I usually NEVER leave reviews, especially not bad ones... But holy crap this game DESERVES a bad review. I bought it day one and took a two year break from it. Returning now (after their 1.0 release no less) the game feels like its in the EXACT same state as it way when it first released.
Dog shit physics that have a mind of their own. Broken patrol patterns and plenty of other bugs that aren't that hard to find. I can sit here and talk about how buggy this game still is, but its just low hanging fruit so I'll leave it at that. But as for other problems? There's just no content in this game.
Once you've played for 2 hours, you've seen it all. There's nothing to look forward to, nothing to grind for. Adding in a bunch of new perks and calling it "progression" isn't fixing this games content problem. On top of that, why even play the game the way it was meant to be played? Just ignore the actual mission objectives and steal PEOPLE! Yup thats right, the game rewards you by being NOT sneaky and just bashing peoples brains in with a hammer.... then just get away with their unconscious body. Boom easy 20k... And the price? $20??? Get the fuck out of here.

Very fun game, if you enjoy looting games. However, game is extremely scuffed. Physics frequently bugs out and causes items to freak out. Items you purchase and bring with you such as the "swag bag" frequently bugs out and disappears entirely (any item you can't keep in your inventory). It sometimes respawns at the truck but becomes uninteractible. NPCs when they detect you will forget about you if you break line of sight in time and if you're trying to get one of them to open a door for you, will instead simply phase through the closed/locked door. Overall, I'd rate the game a solid 6.5/10 room for improvement with potential to be a great co-op game.

I am mixed on this game. It's fun don't get me wrong but it has some serious jank. I really enjoyed playing with friends and goofing about but the problem is that the physics, while goofy and fun at first, can quickly turn into annoying and frustrating. I had a persistent bug of objects pushing me inside of ceilings where I would have to leave the game and rejoin in order to free myself. Leaving and rejoining also added it's own set of bugs such as loot desync and cameras re-spawning. I also experienced a lot of bugs when it came to knocking out guards and residents. often when I knocked someone out they would get back up and then become untouchable. This was a problem especially for guards since they could still taze me and I had no recourse.
Overall, this is a fun game that I really enjoyed. There are not a lot of VR and flatscreen crossplay games out there so I love seeing games that have it. However, right now this game needs some serious work done on it. Until those bugs are ironed out, I will recommend this game at the user's discretion. The bugs can be worked through but can be extremely frustrating if you don't have the patience for the game.

I've just got done getting every single achievement for this game and with that done I can finally say, this game is pretty fun and goofy. It's janky as hell and I love it, it has that unity charm that although it may screw you over every now and then on a heist is super funny. The new perk system is really cool and gives set goals which can give a good few hours of gameplay doing what the missions want you to, the game doesn't take itself seriously and because of that you're left with a really fun casual thief game that you can hop in, steal some stuff that isn't yours in serious or goofy ways, and get out with no witnesses. The fact that its multiplayer is also awesome, half of my playtime was spent laughing and stealing with my friend.

The idea is great but the gameplay is pretty horrid, sometimes when it works its a great bit of fun however, items clipping, hands clipping, collisions being terrible, tables falling out of nowhere, a random naked running man for some reason?? (I'm dead ass) are all some of the problems, I'm sure some day it'll be better but as of now its not worth buying

In The Break-in, you play as a thief whose main job is to, well, break in. Your goal is to steal as many valuable items as you can. This helps you unlock new maps, different getaway cars, and useful perks. On paper, it sounds like a lot of fun, and the trailer certainly makes it look that way. But sadly, the game isn't optimized at all. While they've made some fixes since it was first available, there are still too many bugs and clumsy parts to really make it fun for long.
I first played this game with some friends before it officially launched. We got bored of it within the first hour. After the full release, I decided to go back and try to complete everything. Getting all the achievements was some of the most boring things I've ever done. They weren't hard, just incredibly dull, especially when playing by myself.
Since the pre-release, the game did add some new things to keep you busy, like unlockable perks. To get these perks, you have to finish missions, like stealing 10 cameras or breaking 10 windows. Some of these missions were a bit annoying because the game didn't explain them well. Still, they were a fun little extra challenge that could give you some strong power-ups. Though, some perks felt too strong, like being able to open a vault right at the start instead of having to work for it.
The game costs €19.50. It was €14.79 in May 2024, and the biggest sale it's had since the price went up was only 10%. To me, that's too much money for what you get. You don't expect a huge, expensive game, but for the quality, the number of bugs, and glitches, it's pretty disappointing.
I think this game has real potential. The main idea is genuinely fun, and I really like silly games like this. Usually, I wouldn't mind a few bugs. But bugs that can ruin an entire run because you glitch out of the map while trying to take something are just too much. If this happened just once or twice, I wouldn't care, but in my 20 hours of playing, I can't remember a single run where I didn't run into bugs.
If the game developers would fix these problems, I'd give it a much better review. But in its current state, I cannot recommend the game.
Sadly for now,
