Performance issues and really bad controls (for mouse and keyboard). Considering the last patch was in March 2022, I don't think it's going to get any better, which is a pity because I was looking forward to the really cool concept and style.

It's just a little game experience, but with a lovely world, cozy people and a beautiful representation of friendship and lgbtqia+ the controls are easy to handle, it makes a lot of fun to drive with the skateboard. I like this game <3

Short but fun :3 I love the characters and the small story behind this game. The skate mechanics are a bit weird and frustrating and some points. Also, the game has some performance issues at some parts of the map. But else this is a cute and wonderful game!

Magic Trick is a steam videogame featuring shower demented fun with a short sample story twist of trans rights and bundling upstairs in a cattling room of banging sounds of music and charming visually design choices...nice curving cards to collect..even though they arent helpless or powerless...i infringe for the most flowing part as celebrating independence black slacks of crisped magical knowledge...high heels of imagination to a ballet flattened...stripped amazingly half-sized locations that throw a cosmetics case of zooming manageable cocooned ease...i give this game a 10/10 its a short portable phone in of greatness fun pleasant surprises i really loved it love the burrito master!!!
Lord of the Skating: The Fellowship of the Deck
[Scene: Rivendell. The Fellowship assembles in front of the cursed game, Magic Trick. Gandalf stands at the head of the group, holding the glowing controller as if it were a mighty weapon. Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Frodo, Sam, Pippin, and now Galadriel and Éowyn are all preparing for what may be the most disastrous gaming session Middle-earth has ever seen.] Gandalf: (seriously) Fly, you fools! But not into the abyss. I’ve seen much, but this… this may be the greatest betrayal of all. Éowyn: (cracking her knuckles) I’ve faced Nazgûl, I’ve stood toe-to-toe with Witch-Kings. But if this game thinks it can break me, I’ll show it what it means to face a true warrior. Aragorn: (eyeing the controller) We need strategy, my friends. A calm, collected mind. This game is like a battle against darkness—but the darkness is a never-ending pit of poor controls. Galadriel: (smiling faintly) You misunderstand, Aragorn. This game is not about control. It is about surrendering—to chaos. We must embrace the tumble and trust that we shall rise again, like the Phial of Galadriel, glowing in the void. Legolas: (shooting a graceful glance at the screen) One must approach it as one does a battle with orcs—quick, precise, and with a sense of elegance. But this? This is the orcs of despair. Gimli: (grumbling) Elegance? I’m just trying to not fall into the endless abyss like a dwarf with a broken axe. There’s no beauty in crashing repeatedly into the void. Frodo: (in frustration) I thought this was supposed to be fun. But every time I hit a ramp, I fall off the edge of the world. I don’t even get to destroy the One Ring—I just destroy my own hopes. Sam: (shouting at the screen) Mr. Frodo! You shall not pass… unless you fall into the abyss first! We can’t even get through a simple trick without plummeting into Mordor! Pippin: (laughing) Look at me, I’m flying! Again. In an endless loop. This game’s got me trapped like Gollum in his own lies—forever spinning and falling. Éowyn: (focused) You may laugh, Pippin, but I shall master this game! The game will fall before me, not the other way around. My sword will cut through this frustration like a shieldmaiden slicing through her enemies! Galadriel: (nodding) Yes, Éowyn. Let the game come to you. If it insists on spinning, let it. But remember, grace is key. Every move must be calculated... just like the very steps of Elvenkind. Or at least, that’s what I tell myself. Gandalf: (frowning, watching the chaos unfold) Fly, you fools! Fly away!—but not like this! How could they design a game where I, the Grey Pilgrim, cannot even land a simple trick? Tony Hawk: (appearing from behind a pillar) You all are trying too hard to ride the wave. Just let the chaos come. I’ve skated the half-pipes of skateboarding legends, and I’ve seen tricks beyond mortal imagination. But this? This is an interdimensional grind of failure. Gimli: (pointing at Tony Hawk) What’s your secret, Legend of Skating? ‘Cause right now, I can barely stay on the board for five seconds without feeling like I’m falling into Helm’s Deep… without the fortifications. Tony Hawk: (grinning) Well, it’s all about balance and commitment. But hey, when you find yourself falling off a virtual cliff every two seconds, even the Hawk has his limits. You gotta embrace the chaos and go with the flow, my friends. Legolas: (shaking his head) Chaos? This is no flow. This is a river of despair, filled with rapids of bad controls and rocks of disappointment. Galadriel: (glancing at the game) Ah, but see, this is where you are wrong. There is beauty in the chaos. We must not fear the falls, for every time we rise again, we are closer to the truth of this game—like the Ring itself, it lures us in, only to betray us. Gimli: (crossing his arms) Beauty? Galadriel, I thought I was a dwarf with strong bones, but this game has shattered them. My spirit is more crushed than my dignity after getting hit in the face with a giant balrog tail. Sam: (nodding solemnly) We’re all shattered, Gimli. This game promised us wizardry and skateboarding magic—instead, we’ve been cursed. I haven’t felt this betrayed since I found out second breakfast wasn't a thing in Gondor. Frodo: (looking mournfully at the screen) I tried so hard to make the perfect ollie, but instead I broke… just like my dreams of saving Middle-earth. This game is like the Ring—it promises power, but all it delivers is suffering. Pippin: (grinning mischievously) Well, at least I got Endless Flight... which is basically just me falling forever. And yes, that’s really as fun as it sounds. Gandalf: (looking at the screen with resignation) Fly, you fools, indeed. But know this: Even in the face of unrelenting frustration, we will overcome. For we are the Fellowship of the Deck—and no game, no matter how cursed, shall break us. Éowyn: (determined) If I can face down the Witch-King, I can certainly handle a ridiculous wizard-skateboard game. You hear me, game? I’m not going down without a fight! Gimli: (raising his controller dramatically) I AM GIMLI, SON OF GLÓIN! And I will not be defeated by this electronic sorcery! I’ll take this game down... or my name’s not Gimli, Slayer of the Infinite Falls! Tony Hawk: (smiling) That’s the spirit. Let’s ride this wave of frustration to victory. And if we fall? Well, we get back up and try again—because that’s what real skaters do. Galadriel: (with a wink) And perhaps, in the end, we’ll find the magic we were searching for all along—not in the game, but in each other. Gandalf: (with a deep sigh) Fly, you fools! But not like this. Never like this. [The Fellowship continues, their controllers in hand, their hearts full of hope, and their skateboarding dreams of the highest ollie still alive—even as they plummet into the digital abyss again and again.] [End scene.]

White Town - Your Woman
Just tell me what you've got to say to me I’ve been waiting for so long to feel the thrill But now it’s clear, you’ve let me down, you see So cut the nonsense, tell me it’s all downhill Now I know your tricks, I know your flaws You don’t even care that you’ve broken all laws So much for all your magic, sleight of hand You led me here, then crashed my land Boy, you can’t play me this way Well, I guess what you’ve got is true I could never glide on boards with you I could never be your skater When I booted up this game today It promised wonders from the start But me, I wish I could claim "good play" But you always knew you’d break my heart And you’re such a beautiful, empty sight Now I think I finally see the light Was it in your code? I don’t know But soon I’ll rage quit for sure Why did you play me this way? Well, I guess what you’ve got is true I could never glide on boards with you Well, I guess what they say is true I could never play this game with you I could never be your skater
I promised magic, boards in the sky, But now I crash and wonder why. Falling endlessly, no ground to find, What happened to the thrill in my mind? Was it all just a lie? Once soaring high, now stuck in the air, I thought I'd glide with the wind, so fair. But with every ollie, I hit the floor, Only to rise and fall once more. The world around me spins too fast, My dreams of skating are now overcast. Where’s the joy, the speed, the grace? All that’s left is empty space. What happened to the thrill of the ride? Was it all a game I can’t confide? I long for magic, not this despair— A board in the sky, but none to repair. Trapped in this loop, no end in sight, I keep on falling, no way to fight. Is there a way to break this curse? Or am I stuck, forever worse? I seek the ground, but it’s too far, This endless flight—like a falling star. Where did the fun go? What’s the cost? In this game of magic, I’m truly lost.

This is a fantastic little game! WizKid is such an icon. My hot tip is to use a controller but ignore the right stick (it will only lead you astray). My favorite magic trick is the speedy one! Some of the best few bucks I've ever spent on an indie game.
