This game reminds me of when I got lost in the Chuck E. Cheese tubes as a child. The audio is like when you take shrooms and you get those weird zaps like a grown man screaming in your ear when you're trying to fall asleep, that kind of thing iykwim. Overall really fun game if you're the kind of person who spends most of your day "thinking out loud" and wishing you could've been there for the absolute height of the crack epidemic

gameplay mogs every other boomer shooter from the last 5 years setting mogs every faux-deep tryhard dystopia setting from the last 5 years soundtrack mogs ever... ok it's an acquired taste real shit though this game has something for everyone underneath the oppressive surface. compelling setting, tight movement and gunplay, fantastic unlock and speed-chasing with equally enabling level design. it's overwhelmingly positive for a reason.

Great gameplay and level design, utterly ruined by an insistence on hurting your eyes

The gun-focused imsim gameplay is just too fun. Honestly if it wasn't for the puke-inducing graphics (which gets the capitalism point across) this would be a solid GOTY candidate. Hell, can we even count a game without a grappling hook GOTY worthy? I don't think so. Therefore Cruelty Squad with it's grappendix gets our 2021 GOTY award. It is maybe fun for some (Postal 2 enjoyers it feels like), but for me there is way too much noise to understand things from. Everything is like a acid trip and UIs and menus feel extremely misleading. Go ahead and try it out, but this was not something for me.

lobotomizing graphics and sound design (that you probably will get used to) but gameplay is straight up fire. 10/10

This game's intentionally ugly exterior may turn you off at first, but if you commit, you have an excellent immersive sim game with an intriguing yet disgusting story.

I really wanted to love this game, it runs great on steam deck but I think it was made for key and mouse. The controlling in this game is so unforgiving not even talking about aim assist or lack of IDK what it is exactly but I can't not get pass the first level playing on controller so it will sit forever. Might be a skill issue but I'm positive playing with controller adds an extra brutal difficulty to it rather than just click heads. This is the only fps game I haven't been able to progress so I'm curious if controller players feel this too. Still glad I own it but I only recommended buying if you play on key and mouse

A trippy version of Hitman. Loads to explore and do in each openish level. You can just sprint to the target through.
