It is really not my game. I play a lot of EA and i like strategy games, but this didn't appeal to me at all. The graphics are not my style and very simplistic, the music (sorry!) is simply aweful, i had to deactivate it after 10 minutes because it was just unnervingly bad. There was no fun to be had for me. Refunded.

Town builder/wave survival game with rock-paper-scissors type combat. Very early access, (needs more content and less bugs), but I can see the vision of what this game could be. I just want to say to the developer, "this is a good start, keep going!" The graphics are nice, the music is mediocre. I look forward to future updates. With a little more polish I could recommend this game to friends. Things I enjoyed: Simple - wave based combat Graphics - nothing exciting, but pretty good overall, the units had nice details. Even though the music was meh, I thought it was a great idea to be able to change the tune Being able to speed up the game Camera zoom/rotation Being able to rotate buildings Being able to upgrade buildings Absolutely no upkeep on buildings or workers from what I could tell - 10 bread feeds a villager for life apparently Things I did not enjoy: After you build a building the build menu closes. This was annoying while building walls. It was very finicky about where I could place buildings, even walls My paladins never moved until a monster attacked villagers near them. Otherwise I could not get them to move. My towers never seemed to attack anything. They say they attack within a certain range, but I could not see the range. Very weak tech tree The game stuttered a few times, but I cannot say with 100% certainty that it's not my computer.

Early access review: This has potential, but still needs some work. It's an interesting little build/defend game. I didn't get far into it, but I managed to survive (after almost being wiped out on the first wave on normal), and get enough of a military that the waves are getting killed. However, the attackers sometimes get "stalled". They also path oddly to come to your town. They sometimes ignore defensive towers/units in their path, and go right for the the villagers (or perhaps town center). It looks like they sometimes path AROUND towers, avoiding them completely, which make towers not as useful as their cost would imply. They also "stutter" when you get bigger waves attacking (move a bit. stop. move some more.... stop). After a while, my foresters and woodcutters stopped depositing wood. Saving/exiting and reloading fixed this. Game seems reasonably playable so far, and the constant attacks make building a challenge. Also needs better controls for the military: you can grab groups of troops, but you cannot hotkey/bind them, and once they get lost behind something, good luck finding them again. However, this is EA, so I would hope the devs plan to add such things later, after the core mechanics are fleshed out better. So for now, a tentative approval, but it's still rough.

I've read a few of the comments describing this game as difficult and while yes my first play through I got slaughtered as I was learning controls, didn't build up nearly fast enough all while wasting my time exploring scenery. My 2nd play through was much easier as now I knew what I was doing, I knew that I had a timer and was going to get attacked in the first place...it's a fairly easy game. Kind of lack luster at the moment but could possibly end up being good depending on the devs. Right now at 10 bucks it's not a bad price but it took me 4 hours to get to a point that I had experienced everything and there was no further to go. My rule of thumb is usually a dollar per hour on a game makes it worth it, so as of right now I wouldn't reccomend buying it unless you're into the genre then it's not bad and will hopefully provide a bit more as the devs get to it.

Reviewing as an experienced RTS player. Either this game needs a longer warm up before the first wave or the prices of things need to be slightly reduced. As is the game has essentially one correct way to play with a very specific build order. A loosening of the reigns would make a solid little game. Current'y can't recommend but I wish there was a neutral option.

Outstanding. This is a game that has potential, great art, and folks that care behind it. As has been said the UI needs a bit of love, a tutorial would help newcomers a great deal, and i feel the enemy is attacking too quickly. if the dev puts the time and work into this, this game could be a great hit and addition to anyone's library.

I have only played for an hour but have been wiped out on each start - ON EASY! I'm not anywhere near a portal but once they "find" you - you die. This is way too aggressive on EASY since I am only trying to figure out the mechanics of the game at this point. Maybe you want to give an option for 'Peace Mode' until you turn it off? At least let the town build up a bit and get some walls and troops. I think this will be fun when it releases if there are some tweaks by the DEVs. I will check back in 6 months. I hope I find it more adaptable to different play styles at that point. For now, SADLY, it is a request for a refund.

2 hours into this game since launch. my thoughts so far great concept, decent execution. many things could be added to make this a fantastic game couple notes just while playing. -there needs to be some kind of way to remove aggro from being attacked, i had to restart twice because i couldn't build any defences before being attacked. some way to defend earlier in game is needed for sure. -the UI needs some love. -multiple villagers per resource building? -maybe a slight buff to the house limit -either faster time speed, or just quicken everything just a tiny bit? however, this is a fun little time killer game currently. with some love this could be a great sim that i have been looking for. can't wait to see what the Dev(s) do with this!

Since I did not see any tutorial for the game I will just write some advice for starting ( maybe I am blind idk) 1) First you will need to build your center building where you can find from the buildings button. Box thingy, and dont worry if you yet to have villagers. Weird enough you don't need them to build anything. Everything just builds instantly. btw put your center building next to forest and stones while putting it away from portals and monsters. 2) Build houses.( 2-3 ) 3) To make more villagers you need bread and water. To get water you need well it is the easy part, but for the bread you need at least 3 buildings. Farm->Flour->Bread. Each of them have their respective buildings and as far as I see in the game a vilager operates a building. So 1 well is only usable for 1 villager. It is kinda bad because you will need to spam buildings which is not a good thing for aesthetics in my opinion. 4) Make villagers send them to stone wood etc. 5) To get money you need to click on your houses when there is gold symbol on them, so keep an eye on them. 6) Do not get near portals. Their aggro mechanic is kinda dumb. There is no area for them to attack. Once one of your villagers get the aggro it is done for if you don't have means to kill bad guys. So for the game I think it is good. It is playable in my opinion but lacks a lot of things. I mean if someone were to ask me what is an early access game I would say ''Kings Town''. Like unlike usual 'esc' button does nothing at all. You are on the buildings page and want to close it by pressing 'esc'? too bad it isn't going to work. There is no animation for gate closing. It is just there is a gate and poof now there is not. It is like that. Now onto the positive parts, I liked the idea and the graphics. While graphics are nice for me they weren't the cause of my thumbs up. Idea is like Age of Empires had a baby with Kingdoms and Castles, but it REALLY is a baby right now. And I would like to say something to dev(s): Please change the UI design. It is REALLY looking like a browser game right now. I don't know how hard it is to change but I think it really needs a change before things go far. Anyway liked your game and the idea, hope you will execute what is on your mind(s) nice and properly. Edit #1: After update I checked the game a little and it really feels good to see that your problems being solved fast! ''Esc'' now closes menus, UI ( idk if it is the right term ) is better now it is kinda feels like old dungeon games etc. so liked that feeling. I didn't check the tutorial but think it is added now. and I would like to add one more thing that can be added I hope. When you press ''Quit'' I think there should be a window saying '' You will lose all your unsaved progress. Are you sure you want to quit ?'' or something like that I am no expert but I think it is kinda essential because there is no warning about it and no double-clicking, just click once and you are out. It would suck if I were to lose all my progress because of a mere carelessness. Luckily I did that on purpose. Jokes on you portal guys!
