Yes, with reservations. The best thing about the game is the colorful graphics, and the playful way the developers put a convincing landscape together with simple components (or at least seemingly simple). I did feel, however, that I was going round and round without getting anywhere after exploring most of the game areas. It's hard to figure out what comes next, unless you accidentally discover a new detail.

The only thing lost I cant seem to find is my will to live ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
If you like fetch quests in other games but the pesky combat and story and dialogue gets in the way, then look no further. For an extra challenge do some ketamine before playing and listen to some smooth jazz. ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)

As a game to mindlessly spend a few hours in, this is alright. If you have any expectations in games and are older than 12, maybe don't play this.
It's nice to look at for the most part at least, but there is basically no story, all you do is go around and collect things that could hardly be any easier to find and even the puzzles are laughably easy.
If you are a child or you have a child from the ages 5-12, this game might be for them.

It's a wonderful game. Beautiful locations that feel good to explore, a very relaxing soundtrack, and a perfect amount of collectibles with some fun challenges. My only complaint is that it could use some control customization.

Is a hard call. It is not a bad game but not having a map or a way to know where the stuff is - and the tedious restart/death system makes this game not fun at all. You cannot even save your progress and some achievements do not unlock. I had to restart levels multiple times to make the achievements pop.
The price is too high foe what it is.

I would have given this game a good review. It's fundamentally a good idea and it looks great. But here are my issues:
1: You cannot rebind keys, so if you have a physical issue that makes WASD not work for you, you are out of luck unless you have a programmable keyboard (Which really really is just doing a lazy dev's work for them).
2: They do allow you to invert the mouse, but it reverts every time you enter a new zone. A small thing but it shows a lack of attention to detail.
3: The game forces arbitrary limits on where you can go rather than building the levels in a consistent manner. What do I mean by this? Well, in most places you can jump like a rabbit almost everywhere, but in certain places you just can't because the devs don't want you to. It's a like of consistency that breaks immersion and could have been fixed with a better eye to level design. See that gap in the rocks that normally you could jump over and around? Well that's part of a puzzle so you just cant jump there. Why have that gap there in the first place then? Just make it look impassable in the first place, either I can move like a mountain goat or a can't. Pick one please.
It's obvious that a lot of work went into these beautiful and relaxing environments but at the end off the day it's a fantastic garden on top of a steep staircase with no handicapped access and that's a real shame.
If you are comfortable with the bog standard WASD controls though, you should check it out. It is good.

A fun and relaxing item collecting game with beautifully crafted levels. The atmosphere is great, I love the art style, the music is nice and relaxing, the levels are fun to explore (You can even get outside the map somewhere in level 4 and explore where you're not supposed to. I won't tell you where though, can't have the dev putting an invisible wall there. He'll have to figure it out himself too if we wants to block it off) and figuring out the secrets in each level is fun as well.
All in all, a very nice game to just lean back in your chair and relax with.

Very fun exploration game! I ran into a few frustrations with some of the achievements triggering but after some trial and error it seems restarting the game fixed the problem.
The levels are beautifully designed and feel maze like in a good way. None are complicated enough that you're liable to get lost for any length of time. As another reviewer states, "The more I played it, the more I enjoyed it." Do yourself a favor and just try the demo, but understand that the level represented in the demo is one of the.... how should I put it.... least good ones? I mean it's good. But most of the others are better!
There are some significant easter eggs that I won't give away here, but one made my afternoon when I found it :)
I have seen it described as a walking simulator, but it's not that. You can run around quite quickly alleviating some of the frustration that those games often entail.
+ Graphics. This will be up to individual taste. They're not cutting edge or high poly counts, but it's a very pretty game.
+ Music/audio. It's nice and fitting and never tiresome. It seems a bit low quality as far as the sound/clarity goes, but it's not bad.
+ You run around collecting things, what's not to like? It's neither too easy, nor too hard. There needs to be more games exactly like this! If you know of any similar, feel free to reply. I'll leave this open to comments.
+ The developer is quick to respond to questions/problems on the forum. This is very much appreciated!
+ All achievements DO work, though some have sensitive triggers. Also, see below.
- The achievements were a bit glitchy. I ended up replaying some levels a few times, but I think restarting the game may fix that. I mention this because it's not an issue I have had with other games.
- In a couple levels there is a few areas where you can easily get stuck. This can be a bit frustrating. Pressing R respawns you, albeit usually at the beginning of the level making you find your way back to where you were.
Lastly there's a fair number of complaints that the game doesn't include a save system. In my humble opinion it's unnecessary. If you've spent any substantial time at all in a level, you've likely got a good bit of it memorized and it only takes a couple of minutes to run into any given part since the developer has kindly put a really neat looking island in the menu you can go to in order to pick the level in which you want to play.

Island of the Lost is a visual masterpiece. The handcrafted environments are stunning and hard to believe they made by a solo developer. The original soundtrack fits in perfectly with the exploration of the island. There are loads of secrets, collectibles, and fun pop culture references hidden throughout. After 2.5 hours I am only beginning to scratch the surface of all the collectibles and achievements in this game. The level select hub world was pretty cool as well and helped me to go back to other levels in search of collectibles that I missed.
I would highly recommend the game to anyone who loves chill exploration games with gorgeous environments, solid music, and tons of collectibles and achievements.

well i read the reviews and thought i would go for this game, looked good then see that you cant save any progress! thats a no no, easy enough game but to play and get a lot of things collected only to have it taken away once you leave the game, pretty poor i think!
