I am really looking forward to watching how this title will evolve. At the moment, it's a fun turn-based game with great flavor that is right up this humble reviewer's alley. I love crime games and there is not enough gritty, tactical, management based games steeped in realism. The game's mechanics are similar to a game I really enjoy on my phone called "Respect" and its sequel. Yet, Gangster Empire: Vendetta has quite a few more options for expanding your criminal empire. As of now, the title is a little rough around the edges, but the game's heart is there and can provide any aspiring crime kingpin a healthy distraction. I am happy to support a developer that is thinking outside of the box and offering a different spin on the turn-based genre and cannot wait to see what blossoms.

Fun little idle clicker, but it's about as deep as a kiddie pool

I only played 2 years in game time, 24 months, 24 turns. My only advice is to look at all the screen shots presented at the top of the page. That is the entire game. There is no tutorial. Not that you need one. The game is quite simple. • city map = 12 blocks with names associated. There are risk ratings under each city block, but I could not decern any difference. The times my “Thugs” were arrested they were in blocks that had low law enforcement. • Thugs have skills, I could not tell if it made them more proficient. The experience mechanism was not useful. It did not seem to give experience in the areas the Thugs were being used. • Hire a lawyer. It did not seem to help. 4 of 5 times my Thugs were arrested they were convicted. • Bribe the judges all three. Again, no help 4 of 5 convictions. • Crimes give very little profit. IF you buy the game try hacking. For me it paid better then others. Legit business were horrible. Every other month they did not make money and the months they did make money it was very little. Seriously a movie theater could not turn a profit 3 months in a row because someone wrote an article in the paper that hurt its reputation. Reputation for a movie theater? Here is a rundown of game play. 1. Click on a city block. 2. Click on a thug. 3. Pick crime from drop down. 4. Hit end of turn. 5. See if thug made money or was arrested. 6. Start over again at 1. Some people might enjoy the game, but I did not. I don’t know what I expected for $5.
