While the theme may not be very original (why don't they use original themes for new tables?), Pool Champion Deluxe has a great flow and it's a cleverly designed pinball table that's a lot of fun. The ramps are prominent and the drop-targets are difficult to spot but that's the kind of modern pinball it emulates, and it's done very very well. It might be the best Deluxe table so far - for me it is. I would highly recommend this table to players of any skill as the Deluxe tables are easy to play but hard to master, especially this one.

I am probably not a discerning as most that will leave comments, but that having been said, while I love the table, I do find a number of things that truly degrade my enjoyment. First understand, I am coming from a multiplayer perspective. Games are social to me and I rarely play anything without others. That being said, there are several deluxe tables, this one included, that when my turn comes up, I get a "rolling ball on wood" sound that just repeats through the entire game, not just one ball, but the entire play. Secondly, there is a ball on a track in the middle of this table that is to be hit, which for the second player, simply isn't there. The challenge where you are to hit the ball cannot be completed for that person as the ball doesn't exist from initial launch forward. I have hit the area where the ball should be many times, so it is not a matter of it simply not being drawn. Now I will fully admit, I didn't spend 20 hours going through discussions to see if these problems had been talked about before and are already on a remedy list. I am simply letting anyone know who wants to purchase this table for the multiplayer experience that at the moment of writing this review, it still has some work that needs to be done. Once these things are remedied, I highly recommend this table and actually most (I do not own all of them) of the deluxe tables. Even with some of these annoyances, they are still great fun.

So, first deluxe table I bought and... I am not convinced. It has ramps and modes and minigames but the pool one, which does not stop triggering, freezes the pace to zero. It is a similar minigame to the Pinball Champ "CHAMP" letters or to Mexico 86 kicking at mariachis, but at way clunkier pace. Also, not sure how it works in cabinet - probably better - but in normal computer mode most of the elements get in the way so you cannot see the ball. It is just annoying to play.

Let's start with something to be honnest : I really like ZP but, in general, I prefer all old tables than Deluxe ones. Pool Champion Deluxe changed my opinion, it's a Deluxe table I really enjoy to play.
