suspect this is abandoned and pulled out of EA to be able to make the claim of completion. Sucks because a lot of the jank is on the endearing side. Read most of the other negative reviews they sum it up. Things are present, nothing is fleshed out well

7JankDays2Die - I can't tell if I love this game or if it just pisses me off. Either way I can't wait to play tomorrow.

This game was quite fun to play and the character customization was pretty rich and easy to use. Had lots of fun exploring and beating zombies up. Building is quite simple and the quests also seem pretty straight forward.

If you have patience, maybe a low end PC this could be the game for you. I will not recommend it however. Everytime I have started a game it has been completely different to start. This time you have a companion that does nothing but fight and seems to be unkillable. Can not have it help fetch materials and it is obsessed with being in front of you looking straight at you when not fighting. Then there is the resources. So you have Iron that you get from beating rocks with a pick okay makes sense same as many games. Then you have a Piece of Iron, which th game does not really tell you where to get this only that you need it as it walks you through the want to be tutorial. I would think a Piece of Iron would be breaking off a piece of that iron ore you got from the rock, not in this case. Next your benches are huge!! We are talking out of the 2 benches I made both cover one foundation. So now you are forced to make a lot of foundations just for benches. Given how slow and tedious wood log gathering is in the end you get bored quickly, unless of course you like beating on trees for a 1 hour just to follow this guide and have benches for making not sure what. At this point I quit but the game was not telling me anything other than do this then do that. Graphics are older but not horrible. Found a scooter faster than walking and the companion got on no issue. Ran out of fuel had 4 fuel on me that lasted all of 30 seconds. So again no clue how much fuel 4 gave but clearly not much. Though I have to say the scooter looked electric not gasoline. In all stay away from this. I have to say Survive the Night, 7 Days to Die, Dayz, all much better choices though maybe your PC is not up to those in which case this might work. Absolutely NOT worth the $30 price tag on the game.

I'm not going too repeat what some others have already said in good reviews. If your a fan of zombie survival style games. Buy this and support it, What they got is good and yeah needs some polish, but otherwise fun and addictive to play. Better then a lot of games in this same genre without over-complicating it and still making it fun but difficult. Purchased this on sale for 20$ and it was worth it.even at 30$ price its OK. wouldn't of bought it for much more though.

It will not be fixed. That's pretty short summary of the review below :) So I've started playing this game long time ago, played about 20 hours, and in general it was really raw (spoiler all the issues above were not fixed - they've added "story" which is as bad as everything, and not finished any single feature), so here we go, review after 30+ more hours: World World is big but looks really bad, from models to textures - a lot of technologies used are outdated, repetitive textures of the ground, buildings, same models, primitive light system etc. Every building looks the same inside (and looks horribly bad). Combat Yes, there are a lot of zombie types, but combat also is clunky and unfinished. It feels like devs had a lot of ideas but never finished one: * There is combo system - but the fact that it exists is pretty much all. It doesn't give you any advantages or improves your survival rate * There are few ranged weapons - but finding or crafting ammo is welp, hard and shooting feels again like a placeholder, from sound to animations * Same goes for armor types * The only good thing is "trinkets" system - which allows you to apply different damage types and get different buffs Food system It exists, it gives some buffs - but general balance and the way how "automation" works - not allows to feel any progression or that "you are better at survival" - even with full scale base, with electricity etc - you will need to "fight" bushes and pray to get seeds - since seeds are needed for both farming and animal trapping. Construction And again, it's there, but not polished, a lot of "base" shapes which are need to build something besides Minecraft box are missing, same goes for decoration. Night waves Stand for about 40 minutes of real time at top of your defense and wait, to get "paper scrap" in the morning. There is no rewards for defense - you will not get XP, loot dropped from zombies killed by auto-defense is different from what you will get by killing them manually etc, so it's just really really boring to survive waves. NPCs Oh.... They look and operate in such a horrible way that it would be better if there were no NPCs at all. For example: the world is destroyed, everyone are dead on the island - but there is this guy who hides in the DESTROYED BY PLAIN CRASH pool building locker room. Are you for real??? And don't get me stated on "Shelters". Automation and balance Ugh. So you can craft automated mining station, but you can't automate resources needed to "maintain" it. Same goes for any other "automation" in game - if you craft auto station you just need to farm some other resources. Just play 7 days to die if you like shooting, or They are Billions if you like automated horde defense and strategy, or Orks must die, dunno. This game - it looks promising at the beginning but but not lives up to any adequate expectations.
