The ambience of this game is through the roof!
Sound quality is good, it really sells you the mystery and the thriller inducing chills imo.
Now i will be describing some of the good and some of the problems and i don't want to spoil things so play the game 1st then read the next part.
Some pros:
[*] I already told this but the ambience this game delivers is really good from the sound quality and overall gloomy and dark atmosphere really gives this game a boost.
[*]I love detective/mystery games and if there's a slight thriller/horror vibe to it i love it even more (e.g of games i love detective wise (sam and max, monkey island, the sinking city, wolf among us, the long reach, the last door series, disco elisium etc)).
[*]Dialogue if implemented correctly can immerse you fully into the story and atmosphere.
[*]The flashlight mechanic definitely makes it feel realistic and help with the mystery aspect quite a lot.
[*]You remember the characters quite well and the overall story makes you question a lot of things, and now after i've finished it i just want more xD
[*][*]Forgot to mention the notebook was actually a nice detail since you're a detective.
Some problems:
[*]Now ofc like any indie game there's also some bad things about it, but mostly the developers noted those flaws but i think its worth mentioning why they are bad for the atmosphere they are trying to create. The frame rates can go to a solid 50fps down to a low 20fps depending on what you're doing and where you're located, the lights and hovering effects are mostly to fault inside the building but outside of the building there's a couple of small areas where there's almost nothing and you'll still feel the frames drop. When you are trying to figure out the visions if you want to have a clear notion of what happen you need to view it from different angles and the frames dropping while you move in them breaks the immersion for me a bit. Flames and smoke kill the frames a bunch but that's to be expected,
[*]The downed lamp inside the top floor also has that problem and triggering the vision outside of that room whilst trying to enter the room at the same time kills the frames a whole lot xD.
[*]There's some areas that i can notice are not polished, there's a red door with no handle that's really smooth compared to everything else beneath a staircase to the left of the building but to be fair is only noticeable if you get the flashlight and you explore.
[*]There's some flashlight issues inside the truck, the light is way more dimmer than usual and you can't see anything else beside the shields i know there's a driver in there but aiming the flashlight there its the same as having it off, same with the walls of the truck itself.
[*]There were some collision issues that i've noticed on the 1st playthrough, like getting stuck on stairs if you try to run up them, or having the flashlight on and running into doors or walls made you jitter a lot but, on my last playtrough that was after the latest patch, most of them were fixed, the stairs one is still prevailing a bit.
[*]The basement "hidden shelf" when you activate it the props on top of them just slide right off like they have no weight to them, they should be "glued in place" to appear more natural imo.
[*]The animations from the elevator doors are noticeably out of place, the extreme ends do not look like doors at all, they seem to be connected to a wall with a wooden base.
[*]There's a small cement block on the corner of Bessie's couch room.
What i would like to see:
[*]What the hell happened to Jose? xD
[*]The shelves on the store to the right of the street should have some props like the basement area has, so it gives the impression of an actual store after the evacuation happened.
[*]Since there was a huge firefight from the top floor down the walls are too clean and not enough debris from the destruction as well.
[*]The bloody hand print on the door on the top floor could have a connection to the hole near the dead soldier downstairs and expand how the infected sergeant got there.
[*]I feel like there should be more hidden stuff for us to find and there's only one from what i've explored, it ends up feeling a little bit wasted potential but i'm not gonna press on this because this game is small and for what it has its worthwhile (Usually more information about the local area and respective lore).
[*]There should've been more dialogue options tho, i feel like just a few lines from Jose and Bessie could be expanded either for them to trust us or to give us more information about the building itself, like the part "ill knock 4 times so you know its me" never gets used, or at least from my 3 playthroughs i never got to trigger it.
[*]We shoud've been able to repeat the dialogue so if you've missed anything people could just experience the dialogue again but resumed.
[*]You should've been able to save the soldier even if it meant going back all the way to the car not letting him to his wounds and presumably die or just straight up kill him. You could ask him more things like what has he seen or what he knows about that firefight.
[*] There should've been some evidence that Bessie or Jose Skedaddle out of their apartments, since Bessie just rushed out of her house and how shes paranoid i understand that she goes straight away to the hidden basement "vault" but the shelf on the basement should've been noticeably out of place, only if Bessie is also OCD and placed everything back in place perfectly xD
[*] I would really like to know more about that black mist. but hopefully it will be teased of shown in the later games.
[*][*]The notebook could'ave been used to add notes from each character you've met in detail, like a character page.

Hopefully this input helps the developer in any way, and thank you Deliriously Happy for this experience!! I'll be following you guys and your future games from now on !

Interesting story and nice atmosphere, I enjoyed my time there :)
It would be nice to see a controller support and mouse sensitivity options.
Some subtitles were impossible to read, had to turn the flashlight off to read them.
The clues screen border should change color after watching them, I forgot it was a blink the signal.
Good work!

This was actually a pretty interestin' game. It provides some ambience and an atmospheric setting. It's also pretty short of a game. Video: https://youtu.be/lxxJnwqxiy8

While the game isn't that bad, there are serious issues with interactions. Newspapers and notebooks don’t close properly and stay displayed on the screen.
Meh.

A short but thoroughly enjoyable indie storytelling experience!
I wasn't sure I'd get through it in one sitting, but I found the ambiance very compelling and surprisingly tasteful in all its lighting and sound effects, so I couldn't stop until the end. Overall, the writing does a great job at introducing what ended up being a rather intriguing story, so it was easy to follow along even without any voice acting.
Very promising. Looking forward for future titles from these devs!
