Don't buy this game unless you understand Chinese, the translation is awful

This whole novel is based on Lovecraftian stories and is centered around the three Old Gods Cthulhu, Nyarlothotep, and Hathor. I initially had no knowledge of Lovecraft, and this novel taught me nothing, but I was at least curious enough to read up a small amount. At first it was hard to want to give this a recommendation because machine translations are guaranteed to give out brain rot discount coupons, but then I showed some friends this and we had a blast trying to dissect the story out of the translation. No shade to the dev for using an MTL as learning a new language is a pain, while hiring a translator, I assume would be expensive. So I would rather give props to the dev for wanting to get their game out to a wider audience. The soundtrack is actually really nice to listen too, and the artwork for the characters is great. So if you have some friends to goof around with this can be a fun read.

English translation is suuuuper awkward feeling. I'd love to go on with playing but I just can't.

It's Nekopara meets Cthulhu. I haven't progressed very far but I really like this game. Yeah the english translation is broken but it's one of those things where your mind fixes the sentence as you read. I recommend this game if you like asian dating sims or Cthulhu. I personally believe you should try this game yourself rather than taking my word or anyone else's. I mean it's only $5 and you already played Doki Doki Literature Club. Art and char design is just adorable ; music and voice acting is quite nice and the is even a cute badge with quite nice emotes going with Sadly the game is very badly translated and it's sometimes quite hard to understand who is actually speaking (outside of the voice acted ones), they mixed up gender and such ; i think even google translation don't do this Take it in sales if you really want to do a peek at this game or understand chinese :p

Don't buy this title unless you understand Chinese. The English store page is very much representative of the quality of the text found in the game itself, which appears to have been machine translated from Chinese and consequently reads very poorly. In addition the game does not do proper word-wrapping: Line-breaks are simply inserted in the middle of words, which further decreases the readability of the text. The following are a few examples of poorly translated text from the game's prologue: 1. Describing a game played by the main character (MC): [QUOTE][B]MC:[/B] "There is only one life and cannot be saved halfway. This kind of game is very uncomfortable even if it is Hi Plus One..." [B]Narration:[/B] This kind of difficulty is too hard core, and it is no longer known whether it is a design error or pure malice. I tried to play and even wanted to enjoy it, but the English is just so bad. I didn't go into it thinking it would be great or anything, my expectation was 'as long as it's at least low level fan translation, I can deal with it'..no, no, it's...I was going to say Google translate levels of bad, but I've honestly seen that be better. It's so bad that I couldn't figure out what a character was saying or WHICH character was talking, because it got confused with the 'he, she, him, her' etc mixed up, and unless I'm misremembering, it got names mixed up as well. So maybe if the English gets fixed up a bit, it'll be worth a go, but not right now.

I can't recommend this in it's current state for English speakers. I appreciate the attempt at including English text, but it's definitely a machine translation. It is understandable (to a degree), and I'm planning to finish the story, but I can't encourage others to buy it without a true localization effort. If you can read Chinese, go for it. The story is pretty funny.
