I bought this game and then literally played it for 8 hours straight. Finally defeated the boss, completing 1 full run. This game is like Dead Cells meets Magicraft/Noita. It's still only in early access and it has SO MUCH content already. So many different spells and builds. Though, so far I only have a handful of weapons unlocked so I hope they add more soon. This game is a hidden gem, 1000%. Can't wait to see what they add next. And you better believe I'm going to keep playing many more runs, it's addictive finding out spell combinations and abilities, plus you can't forget the RNG dopamine rush when you get an amazing run going.

If you like Dead Cells, you will like An Amazing wizard. Worth the 12 dollars. I play it on the steamdeck which is great; and it only gets a little choppy if I end up with a build that multiplies spells by a ton. The gameplay loop is fun and there's a lot of traits to unlock for each element, and each element is just different enough that you can tell. I like that the story progresses through the harder difficulties. It's not a "one story" that you replay, but the story opens up more and more as you beat it on harder and harder difficulties. Challenges are fun. The only gripe I have is that when I'm playing and end up with a crazy build, sometimes I don't want to attack the shopkeeper but it happens by accident and he's such a pain in the ass. 9/10 would recommend.
