Pretty cool visuals, little weird storyline, especially the ending. But overall amazing.

This was SO COOL. Drugs. Guns. Robberies. 70's Punk Rock. Honestly it was so immersive, you feel like your part of the story. It was as though I was watching a hit Netflix show in NYC, except I was in the room with the characters following along with the story. I felt like I was in a theatre performance live, sitting in the crowd, watching the characters on stage. I wasn't sure what to expect but I hope more studios create these 'episodes' or whatever we call them in VR. For 5 euro I think it's worth it, if you're bored with what's on tv. It's pretty fun to watch.

Battlescar: Punk Was Invented by Girls shows how VR can be used for movies rather than for games or "experiences". Battlescar would not have such power if delivered on a flat screen. I definitely recommend it despite its technical issues: sometimes scenes finished and transitioned to a new one abruptly, mid-sentence and sound was garbled several times.

Oculus only? Do you know where you are? Please don't come to Steam with this nonsense and tell your Facebook overlords to stop wrecking the ethos of PC gaming. Thanks

As a VR artist, I really enjoyed this experience. It is quite daring in terms of the format of narrative and also mixing a kind of "book" feel into the VR aesthetic. I would recommend it for any VR artists as a source of inspiration. The story is not the best however, a bit tacky and shallow but still enjoyable. Disappointed that it took much longer to get on Steam than on Oculus Store and also that they only support Oculus headsets, especially since there are almost no interactions (any?), so it's not like supporting controllers of other headsets would've been difficult. Generally speaking, I want more experience like this that innovate on the VR medium and push the boundaries into uncomfortable and unknown new digital territories.

Fantastic Played with the Oculus Quest 2 with no issues of any kind. This was wonderful, Divided into 3 parts and this has a great story. Use your headset to select language and chapter to play. I consider this a Virtual work of Art. You will want this for your VR library to share with your friends. Thank you very much
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2. Spoiler-Free Review.
Battlescar: Punk Was Invented By Girls is a 30 minute purely cinematic experience. There are no interactions whatsoever. It may be the best cinematic experience in VR to date (I have yet to see Arden's Wake: Tide's Fall). It is a masterpiece in VR story-telling. It really is ground-breaking, not just because of the triple A production values, but also because of the irreverent, no holds barred story, wonderful VOs (starring the talented Rosario Dawson) and musical soundtrack, and risk-taking cinematography (cutting from 360 first person to 3rd person dioramas, etc.). It is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps. Unfortunately, I did experience two major issues which kept me from giving perhaps this experience a 10/10. I hope these are issues are fixed soon, because they took from what should have been a near perfect experience. The biggest issue was the visuals were marred by a visual bar at the bottom. It's sort of like when you try to see a 21:9 shot movie in a 16:9 screen, but it's only seen on the bottom. The bottom would change colors too .. sometimes it was white and then it was pink. That stayed on my headset until I powered it off and on. The other issue was the sound. On my first viewing, the sound was like too slow (almost like if the sound was running at 125% slower). Luckily, a quick quit and restart fixed that issue. I highly recommend not seeing any videos on this before watching it. Just take my word for it. This is near perfection, especially if you like a gritty punk rock narrative filled with the F word, with drug use, with property destruction, with a no-holds barred look at punk rock. No moral message, just a love for punk rock & music in general. It's only 30 minutes, but I more than got my $6 USD worth of entertainment, this is quality stuff. Rate ?/10. Hope this gets fixed and/or that other people don't experience the issues I did.
Please consider joining my Steam Curator Group. Imagine creating a story about punk and woman empowerment and you only make it available on Facebook headsets. Facebook contributes to the degradation of society, the stripping of freedoms, and certainly the undermining of women. Zukerburg brand punk can get fucked

** DO NOT BUY ** I have tested it with Valve Index and the game DOES NOT WORK. It is intentionally made to not work with anything except Oculus headsets. The game starts fine and you can select a language and chapter on Desktop but it doesn't accept any other input beside "ENTER". In the end it is not usable at all. There is no reason for this being on Steam because basically every Oculus user is using the Oculus store already. Facebook and Oculus, go F yourself.
