One of the best automation games out there. Mods allow for multiplayer which changes the game, but should in theory be supported by the main developers by this point. Regardless, something I continue to come back to. Just plain fun.

Constantly being updated, very fun. Now a mix of construction builder and tower defence game.

This game is an insanely well designed automated crafting game. If you are a fan of factorio, this game is a worthy 3D successor. The game has a huge tech tree, satisfying difficulty curve, and interesting complexity both in crafting higher tier materials and managing a multiplanetary (and multisystem) logistics network. Additionally, in later patches they have added a swarm enemy, giving the player the additional worry of juggling combat and protecting your production facilities. All in all, this game provides everything a fan of factory automation and crafting is looking for. I would be happy to recommend this game to anyone!

Finally completed my dyson sphere! PC now runs at 8 fps and generates as much heat as the sun. Great game.

Unbelievable game! There is always something to do, something to create, something to make more efficient, and something new to learn about this game. You will never be bored. You will happily waste hours and hours playing this, and it will feel like 5 minutes. If you feel like you have to create a spreadsheet in order to track everything, and then you do, you're probably doing it right. 11/10 game.

It's very addicting. Aesthetics are beautiful. Just needs to be optimized so the FPS doesn't drop once your home-world industry is fully developed and covering the entire planet.

I would recommend it but you dont cater for left handed people which is very poor. I doubt you care though. Allow me to rebind the inventory and panel exit keys, basic programming if followed should allow you to change that. Poor programming prevents you from making it available. Fix it.

As controversial as it is to say and with the caveat that I haven't played Factorio's latest expansion.... I'll say that DSP is the best Automation game. I say this with 213 hours in Factorio and 338 hours in Satisfactory. Both are excellent games and shine in their ways. DSP gets the number 1 spot because it offers the most fulfilling experience overall. The best way I can think of putting it is imagine if a game did everything Factorio did but better except for the sense of danger and pressure from alien attacks. Then take that same game and have it do everything Satisfactory does but better except for the visual experience of exploring Satisfactory. That would give DSP the crown in its:

recipe complexity
challenge to source resources
time to achieve satisfying results
sense of progression
visual appearance of active automations
sense of intrigue in what you're building towards
complexity of factory planning (without overly burdening the experience}
cleanliness of very complex factory designs, increasing the satisfaction of the build
reliability of logistics systems
scientifically relevant, albeit theoretical in the late game, materials and technologies
I could go on but you get the idea that the experience from beginning to end and for every play-through is amazing. The down side is you don't get the never-ending pressure and sense of urgency Factorio's alien attacks add to the experience. The addition of enemies to DSP is welcome and enjoyable for what it is... at best a light-hearted tower defense and at worst a slightly repetitive planet/space defense removal process. The down side is you don't get to go cave diving or get the sense of skydiving 100's of meters while exploring that you would in Satisfactory. While there are 100's of diverse planets to explore across multiple galaxies, being able to circle any planet in about 30 seconds doesn't allow for much fulfillment and traveling through dark, cold space is understandably not very scenic. However, if you ever wanted to play the best automation game and didn't need lots of bullets or beautiful water as a requirement, you've come to the right place.

This game is a modified time capsule that has singlehandedly ruined my perception of time and therefore I only get 3 hours of sleep a day. ======== I've written this review when I only had 15 hours into the game. Now I have a grand total of 104 hours after going out on a 78 hour non-stop binge with only 6 hours of sleep between all of this. Suffice it to say, this game is a massive gem. Starting off with my criticisms, combat could definitely use some work especially in regards to dealing with Dark Fog relay stations and hives. Dealing with Dark Fog eventually becomes a chore that you constantly have to come back to and destroy because there's no way to actually automate the destruction of their hives. Something also worth noting is the transition from early game to mid game to late game and then endgame is VERY brutal. I found myself having to destroy a big percentage of my prior factory in order to continuously update and keep up with the sheer amount of material that I need and logistics to spread it across my facilities on my home star. Branching out to other solar systems is also very daunting to actually do when you get to the stage where you're suggested to move off planet because then you'd have to deal with even more dark fog, which as said prior, is a total chore. ALL OF THAT BEING SAID THOUGH, the process and working towards building the Dyson Sphere makes for an insanely gratifying and rewarding experience all around. This design isn't originally mine, but the sheer amount of depth that goes into designing your own spheres and building them is genuinely unparalleled and makes for an EXTREMELY satisfying experience. https://imgur.com/a/PNtLKgx This game also provides the best sense of scale when it comes to superstructures in space is also just unparalleled. Hives are gargantuan in size and as seen in the imgur link, Your Dyson Sphere on the planning screen it looks small but flying through your structure in game is absolutely amazing. All around, for a game with this much depth in it's space exploration and the amount of creativity it allows, knowing that right now it's an Early Access game with promises of being able to build your own space stations on the same scale as Dark Fog Hives and customization of Dyson Spheres, as well as better space combat overall, this genuinely might be up there as one of my favorite games of all time and I am not saying this lightly. Buy the game. I absolutely 100% recommend it. It's genuinely amazing and I can't stress enough that despite all of the hardships you'd go through when it comes to the early and mid game, it's all worth it. It genuinely is worth it. This game holds so much promise and potential in the future.
