yikes. i don't know how this was recommended to me and i knew the level of the dev's skill (Or lacktherof) going into it..but i figured, what the heck - ive played many lofi games like this that have really surprised me....well, this one surprised me in that it got a decent amount of hype from lovecraftian-game fans...and yet, its absolute shit. my time is more valuable than it would take to refund this (but not more valuable to steer people away from spending more than a ten US cents on it).
This should be free to 0.50 cents.
the experience (what little there is) is both disappointing and tedious. there are no scares. no hint of lovecraft or a lovecraftian atmostphere (random soundbytes and meme horror doesn't count as eldritch cosmic mind-melting genre that is true lovecraftian fiction)...i would say, i'd like to see more from this dev before passing harsh judgement but this is such a bad first impression that i doubt i'll ever think about this (or the dev) again...if i do come across this person's work, i'll likely give it wide berth.
hate to tear apart someone's work like this but it wasn't hard work so i don't care.
(and yes, i could have done better. have done better and still, wouldn't have had the balls to post such garbage onto steam despite it being better than this)
