Box Factory is an isometric puzzle game where the player needs to push boxes on the right tiles to complete the levels. To move a box to the right place involves logical thinking. This game is of course inspired by Sokoban but with a couple of new game mechanics. The player can use stairs to reach higher places and push boxes down to a lower tile even stack the boxes on top of each other. Other levels include teleports that transports a box to a different place. If you make a mistake you can undo your steps by clicking the undo button. There is also a button that rotates the camera if you need to navigate from a different angle because the game is 3D. Use WASD or the arrow keys or the left stick on the gamepad or use onscreen buttons to move around the map.

Terrific value little game for a couple hours of relaxing puzzling with fun, bouncy music This game is less than a dollar, but I would probably pay a few dollars more for extra stages. When I beat the last level, after about 2 or 3 hours, I found myself complaining that it was too short, and had to remind myself I paid less than a dollar for it. I have some mild complaints, but nothing that would stop me from purchasing again. There are a few interface quibbles, several of which the dev already addressed, and some of the later stages are much easier than they should be, and should be placed earlier, while one of the earlier stages is hard enough that it should be toward the late mid-game. Definitely worthwhile, and I'll probably be buying a few more of this dev's games.

My only problem with this game is that trying to move your "character" is one of the most infuriating things in a video game ever. Beside that, its a good puzzle game.

I enjoyed playing Box Factory. Puzzles were progressively more difficult even if they seemed simple at first especially the last one (27) which frustrated me for 30 minutes (doh). Ohh, my graphics card was thrashing at 1,980fps. I think there should be a "limit FPS" option in the settings as it does not need any more than 60 fps and would save electricity and heat

6/10 3D Sokoban with interesting mechanics, but not much quality. What is it: A 3D Sokoban, in which you have to push crates unto the designated spots. Other than boxes, you can use gravity, ladders, and box teleporters. Rather than tight levels requiring a lot of juggling, the game manages to come with a few interesting levels requiring some 3D thinking. Unfortunately, the clever puzzles are too few to compensate for the bad implementation. Quite a few things annoyed me a lot. The game is on a diagonal view, and their understanding of Up does not match my expectations. I spent a lot of time accidentally falling off the screen because I pushed up and the guy went right. The angle of view and the basic graphics also means that it's really hard to figure out which upper tile is above which lower tile, and how many floors are there. Luckily for that aspect the level can be rotated, so after a few rotations it becomes a bit easier to understand the level, but I still need to keep a 3D model of it in my mind to navigate the level, since just looking at it doesn't help. The dude is always bouncing, and commands are not cached, so movement is quite slow and tedious. A few levels are trivial, but they're obscured by the angle of view so solving them involves rotating them to actually see the box and the goal. That's not a good level design, it's just an annoyance! How hard is it: Easy to almost moderate. How long is it: 27 levels, which can be finished in a little more than half an hour. Level design: Basic, but decent, although a few of them feel like fillers. A lot more could be done with the mechanics. Quality: Decent levels. Cloud save and spammy progress achievements, one for each level. Unlimited undo, even after a failure, but not through the slow resets. A decent amount of settings, although the settings shown depend on where you open the settings screen from. One of the best control mapping screens I've seen in a game. No progress reset. Worth the price: Eh, almost, wait for a discount. Most positive aspect for me: Interesting mechanics. Most negative aspect for me: Too short. Also consider: An Architect's Adventure, 3D Sokoban with some very hard puzzles. box factory is a simple isometric box pushing puzzler with 27 levels. the only mechanic is teleporters and levels often have multiple floors, so some planning ahead is useful, though there are no timers or move limits. boxes can be stacked, but only one can be moved at a time, pushing the one on the bottom will make the rest fall on your pretty face and you have to start over. it's also important not to push boxes off the edges, nor should you fall. controls are as expected, the isometric perspective means they need some getting used to, but you can rotate the camera, multiple variations are available for movement (wasd, arrows, keypad, clicking on-screen arrows, etc.) and keys are rebindable. I changed 'x' to backspace for undo, which is available in unlimited quantities, you can even make a box come back if it falls off the level, and if you fall yourself, a prompt appears with undo and restart as options, so not having on-screen info about hotkeys is the only bigger issue I found. the presentation is fine, simple graphics and upbeat music, plus all the necessary settings, also available while playing: separate volumes and toggles, windowed mode, resolutions, vsync. the price is reasonable as well, recommended for about an hour of fun.
