I think that an average person won't spend with this game more than 4 hours. The combat system is very easy to learn and it would not be an issue, but repetitive levels are - especially if you want to unlock a new weapon, it's bothering that you have to pass levels that you already finished. I like the visual side of the game, but sadly it's not a new Enclave/Dark Messiah at all. I have spent several more hours with this game, as I found a pleasure in some "tactics" of the fighting, like avoiding arrows with diagonal steps, penetrating 2 opponents with lightning shock, etc.

Great old school feel! Just started playing Ravensword: Undaunted and boy is it fun!
It is a quick action dungeon crawler requiring some fast reactions. The game throws you right into the core of the game - battles - right from the start.
I particularly love the game's atmosphere and the wonderful soundtrack. I don't know why, but it brings me back to Diablo and those other old school RPGs. Nostalgia relived?

I like this game, it has great potential.
Few of the most noteworthy in my opinion is as follows:
1. Arrows needs to travel quicker, too easy to dodge as it feels like they fly in slowmotion.
2. Melee needs followup swings/combos and quicker respons on blocking, I found it lacking when trying to parry.
3. The weapons seems to get corrupted very fast, that should be lowered, there was a point when I had to hit "V" key to fight barehanded, though it worked, it doesn't feel right, also I do the same when destroying barrels for mana/magic drops aswell as beating on the red crystals, to open up the path forward. This only just to keep my weapons from getting corrupted too quickly.
4. The swing sound has a bit of delay that should be adressed, also the firestaff projectiles (Ithink its fire?) Sounded more like laser to me, perhaps have a look at that too.
Overlall: This game looks really good and I am looking forward to more contents and even full release at some point.
P.S. I hope they don't rush development, that never ends well.

Just a heads up, not that much content is out for this game right now. I would really like to see a LOT more weapons and weapon types, styles, and attack styles or something. That would be neat. What this game has right now is pretty promising, if they can continue adding more and more content. And for $7.99, not a bad deal.

This hidden gem is turning into the spiritual successor that Heretic and HeXen deserve. The graphics and polish, for an early access game, are quite good. Sounds are great, music is good, atmosphere is very Souls-like. I've only gone to the first zone (it has a bit of a rogue-lite feel to it, as with every death more money is earned and every life new, better gear is found so far, with persistent stat upgrades).
My hope is that they're able to give us a solid campaign with this solid foundation. I did read the developer is also working on another game (Trimatra, working on new game Angkara). Hopefully there's room for this game to grow and become a complete product, because as it stands I can't wait. As with all Early Access you kind of never know, but I feel like this is great so far and could become what we've all been waiting for. At the price point I think it's a fair value.

Last update on this game was eight months ago...and one of the very first weapons you have access to...the left the lorem ipsum in place of its description.
I mean. That's a bad sign.
Will give it an honest try, but that bit hit me hard enough I backed out to write this.
Update: Unfinished, unpolished, and abandoned. There's not much to do--as if the mechanics and most of the bones were put in place, and then forgotten. There's a lot of good potential here, but no one seems to be at the helm of the ship.
You can actually lock yourself forever in the levels if you do not choose to leave when the prompt comes up--there is no second chance there.
After two years abandoned, all that remains is a relic of something that had the makings of a sleeper hit, but never got out of bed.

I have always loved the original Heretic and HeXen games, and this caught my eye right away. Easily worth the $8 even in its current state. It has clear influences from Doom Eternal (like the sprint charges), but the aesthetic is very Dark Souls. My only complaint is there is a bit of inventory management required as you juggle through weapons. There is probably some way to clean up this part of the game, but I look forward to a full release!

Hahaha, shamelessly they say "The game is close to completion" in the Early Access description, jokers.
Don't waste your money.
Just 1 medium level, abandoned, they are making another game. Pity, looked promising.
Don't buy Ankgara their next game, 1 scam is enough.
1 "garden" of floating rocks very *short* jumping level.
1 "wood" of rocks good enough medium level.
---------
1 blocked level I could not access.
3 level in "construction".

Unfortunately, while I did have fun with this title, I can not recommend an early access game that has gone over a year without an update.

They took my money and ran.
It wasn't a lot of money, but a few months into their early access they stopped doing anything with the game, and haven't even bothered to tell potential buyers here that the game is dead.
This could have been a really cool game, but instead they chose to do _this_.
