It steals, a very fun and slightly challenging game that innovates on itself and makes its best attempt at a horror game akin to a first person pac man. Ive 100% the game and can say its very fun and something id recommend to friends and you should play it too.

this game is fun but the last level is what i feel like is impossible as everytime i reach one orb it somehow catches me even when i hold my breath and was wondering if these devs could atleast buff the amount of seconds you can hold your breath for.

I honestly did not expect how extremely scary this game would be and was. It's very much about listening to the sounds and making the right choices. If you do something wrong your chances of winning go down by 70%, so you really have to think hard about what you do! I recommend it, just a reminder that the game will cause extreme stress for more sensitive people XD

A very good game, found it from Pastra's video and I'm kinda obsessed with it, the phantom mode is challenging as can be. Rare gem in a swarm of remasters and cash grabs 10/10

Bought this game after seeing a YouTuber playing it. The MOST HORRIFYING thing I've played. I was screaming, drenched in sweat, shaking. I had to stand up to take a breather mid playthrough. This game is PURE horror and I love it with all of my heart

Its really good. I tend to see that a lot of horror games either don't know how to be scary or don't know how to fun, but this one manages to do both. There are some times when it can be a little unfair but considering that attempts take maybe up to a couple minutes its not too big of a deal, but the game is both scary, unnerving, and does not drop the gameplay because it still manages to be fun and interesting. For 5$ It Steals is a steal............

I get that this game has lost it's relevancy. but... Dude, I've never screamed so hard In my life. Hide and seek? Fucking horrifying. My legs were weak I screamed so hard, dude. I just played it, like, 1 minute ago and I'm shaking so hard. Good job, dude. 10/10 The living walls mode can go fuck itself.

The most terrifying horror game I've ever played in my entire life. There are a lot of atmospheric horror Games which try to inject your Player character into a world of their making, games like Outlast come to mind. What these games forget to take into consideration though, is the fact that you are playing a game, that in reality you're just sitting in front of a screen and agreeing to suspend your disbelief to enter into thier world. It Steals does the same thing, but instead of making a game into a world, it makes a game out of the game. The monster is just a conscious of the fact this is all a game as you are, its playing with you, and it wants to win. It changes the entire dynamic of the game, you're not a hapless protagonist stuck in a predicament the developers have created around you, you're a player in a competition against the game itself. It releases the tension of a setting you're supposed to play in and places you yourself firmly in the cat and mouse games the game builds itself around. To me it strips away a layer of obfuscation, making the horror and the scares far more effective. Talking about the game itself, the visuals are simple but effective, they're the bare minimum I'd consider effective for a horror game, but work just right for me. What amazed me was the audio design of the game, it does basically 75% of the work in scaring you with how absolutely horrid the monster sounds most of the time. The simplicity of the games many modes is lovely, as it destroys many of the layers horror games usually use to make you more scared of the unknown than you actually need to be. The only thing worth being scared of in the game is the Monster, as it should be. The monsters AI is something else, it will keep you on your toes in every single mode and sometimes felt just a bit too smart when it set a trap for me or outplayed me. It's terrifying. If you have a few dollars, don't hesitate and get yourself this game. You'll be frightened.
