This is pretty cool. I haven't discovered any of the secrets yet, but it gives you that good roguelike feeling where death is a learning opportunity more than a frustrating experience.
Art style and atmosphere is what's really different. I love the campfire mechanic. Skippable text means you don't get too frustrated by the prompts showing up every time.
Almost too slow? I'm still working through it like I said, but I do wonder if just a slight movement speed bump would make me really take to it.
Recommended absolutely though. Interesting ideas about how roguelikes should operate.
