Clean tower defense game with an aesthetically pleasing lighting style. Tower variety is nice, but there needs to be more ramping difficulty. Think there's a big opportunity for inclusion of custom maps and perhaps adjustment of enemy health on waves in a workshop type feature. Feels like a great framework and look forward to seeing where it goes.

Bit simplistic (would be really nice to have visual upgrades with guns) and a bit easy honestly. for 49 waves I was simply shooting the enemies before they left the spawn pad, I also had about 4 fps using Steam Proton. Seems kinda silly to me that you don't support Linux. (John Doyle sent me)

I like the game found it because of john Doyle but it gets pretty laggy, however whenever I pause and then unpause it stops lagging so if you could make the game run smoother thats that would be nice and thats my only critique

It is I, the official steam account that represents the papacy! How much more of a catholic gamer can you be? anyway, this game is pretty good. It has a lot of potential, but there are some glaring issues with the game as of right now. First of all, the lag. This one is minor because you can just turn down the quality settings all the way and the lag will go away. Second, the difficulty. It is very easy. If the power of all the towers was reduced by 40-50%, I believe the game would be substantially better. Third, balancing issues. A few of the towers, mainly the flak tower, gatling tower, and missile tower, are extremely overpowered.
That being said, there are lot of cool features that largely make up for the weaknesses I just mentioned. First is the procedural generation. It forces you to develop a strategy based on what map is given. Second, the two forms of currency. It makes the game more interesting when you have to manage two different sources of income, and making sure to provide enough income to one side, but never providing too much, as that could destabilize and weaken your defense. Third, and most importantly, is the day/night cycle. I really enjoy the strategy behind it, as you have to make sure to save some money just to keep up, which adds to the challenge in the early waves. If you don't add some sources of light, you are guaranteed to lose, as your towers cannot see the enemies.
Overall, good game. If the difficulty problem is fixed (which will probably happen soon), then this would be a very relaxing and enjoyable way to spend time. Also, it is pretty fun to watch the missiles orbit around enemies like a vulture circling its prey, even if it eliminates any need for strategy.

I have played for about 6 hours now, and I really like this game. I saw this game through a video by John Doyle, credit to him Contamination Studios. The game is really fun and I love the turrets and how they work! Unfortunately, around wave 40, I had lag. Some ideas Contamination would be:
1. A Campaign with a story and missions
2. An attack version where you are on the robots side and have to strategize what units to play
3. A conquest game mode where you can fortify your base, and creates units with a barracks, to attack another player or AI, and attack and defend.
4. Conquest but multiplayer
5. Create and support a modding community
6. More turrets, and barricades to stop robots, and upgrades to the spire like a force field or a moat
7. New Biomes. themes, and tower types; A space theme with asteriods, and space turrets, a Midevil theme with archers, cannons and catapults, or an american military theme with snipers, gunners and machinary.
8. Turrets affect certain enemies better
9: Player attack options: an orbital strike, plane or helicopter attack, or even soldiers
10: Bug fixes: Get rid of bugs, lag and even enhance the graphics.
I would reccomend it to anyone who likes casual, cheap games. Developers if you want more ideas than send me an email at [email protected]

(Version R1.1)
Minor visual bug with occasional flickering turrets.
No visual representation of the turrets' upgrade level. (Only a text when the tower is selected.)
Lacking an option to quickly exit the in-game menus; e.g. right click.
UI not particularly polished.
Lacking an option to rotate the camera.
These are not game-breaking issues and therefore I hate to give a negative rating to this nice looking and principally coherent game.
However, the game lacks one crucial feature: the joy of playing!
Everybody who has ever played a Tower Defense game will beat this one on the first try. You play 35 waves on a randomly generated map and then...
Well, then the game is over.
The options that remain are either to continue playing in endless mode (basically letting the game run to get a coffee) or start a new game on another randomly generated map. Basically not a bad game principle, only the player is not rewarded.
What the game urgently needs is a kind of progress model. E.g. levels or stages by which the enemies get stronger, or the maps get bigger, or you unlock new turrets, or you have to survive more waves, or, or, or...
The game has potential and the basic game mechanics work well, but in the current state of the game, there is simply no reason for the player to click on Start again after the first run.

The Procedural Generation of maps and the grid-based placement system leaves a lot of room for player optimization. Your strategy may have to change depending on where trees are placed, especially since there are two tower types that generate gold based on nearby features. Having two different point systems, one for buying towers, and one for upgrading them, adds more complexity to your choices, and diminishing returns on tower upgrades means you can't buff one tower to the max and cheese the game. A good game if you have some free time and want a chill tower defense experience
