I got this game on a whim, just because looking mushrooms seemed fun, had a bit of a struggle finding mushrooms but then i discovered the magic of the basket, holy fuck i just ascended. it was poggers. very fun but wish there was more mushrooms

I got lost in the woods, tripped out on mushrooms, got eaten by wolves, and fell off the edge of the world, endlessly falling, my mushrooms lost above, my own ceaseless purgatory. 10/10

I expected so much more from this. what even is this so called simulation... 1/10

Its not a terrible game for the sale price (£0.71) but is definitely not controller compatible as it claims with no button mapping and camera/mouse mapped to the same joystick making it almost impossible to pick anything up because you cant look at it. I had hope for the concept and I hope someone does it better as many other reviews suggest. even with mouse and keyboard the controls are glitchy and the basket really hard to put anything in as it all bounces off unless at the right exact positions and they clip through the sides anytime you put it down

This game is like, the start of someone building a cool sandbox game, but all you've got is the sandbox. It makes no sense that you have to hold down the left mouse to carry the basket, or that it's in your line of sight constantly in the way. It's annoying that you can run and run and run for miles and never tire, but also never see ANY changes in landscape, or any actual mushrooms! The most I've ever found is 3, and every time, I just got so lost I couldn't find my way back to "sell" them or whatever anyway, so who cares.

I have been looking forward to this game for a really, really long time. I love the concept. I realize it's in EA, so hopefully these issues will be fixed, but currently there is just no reason for me to recommend anyone play this game. There are no forums to give feedback, so the feedback is in a review instead. The map in this game is so basically painful. There is one rock pasted over and over. I think... 4 different trees? Painful. Where are the fallen trees? Where are some clearings? Where are the different sized, color and texture of rocks that can be used as trail markers? What about a line of telephone poles or something? Devs, go play The Hunter for an hour or two. There are paths. There are streams. There are markers and things you can use to orient yourself. Not the same rock pasted over and over and over. The collision in this game is awful. Nonexistent. If you walk too close to a tree or a hill, the basket will clip through and you will lose all the mushrooms you've gathered. The sound is awful. When carrying the basket, the basket makes a loud buzzing noise. I had to mute the sound and go find a "generic forest" loop on youtube just to play this game. The game gets jittery sometimes when running. It's very distracting when you're running and you can see the terrain wiggle back and fourth. Lastly, I'd like a way to be able to find the car again. I know the map isn't that big, but trying to find my way back to the car isn't fun when everything looks the same..
