TDA hits its stride here, and so do its characters. If 00 left you wanting more and 01 felt bumpy because of character idiosyncrasies, this is where you're rewarded for your patience if you weren't committed to seeing it all through no matter what. The localization is the only thing letting this release down, and it does plague the TDA project overall - too many fucking memes and too much "Americanized"/"modern" slang that makes it feel clunky and dated. The quality of the translation itself is good, at least from my rusty ear for Japanese and from a few flicks of the script language back to JP text; there's no actual substantive reason the team had to take the release so un-seriously. TDA is good, and this release is quite good, but it deserved even better. The TL team spend large parts of 01 and 02 showing they're clearly capable of delivering that high quality consistently when the time for memes is put away. Either they couldn't help themselves and overlocalized some parts, or someone higher up told them to do so for some reason. Of the three parts so far, TDA 02 absolutely justifies itself, although the standalone pricing outside of the TDA bundle is still too steep for an experience this short, imo.
