DLC-Review
Operation Eagle not only adds a new faction, but one with a mixed roster consisting of Arabian freedom fighters and American (or rather, Usonian) foreign expeditionaries. It's never exactly clear what they are doing in Arabia besides saving people and spreading freedom. The story is built around the most common stereotypes imaginable, including a girlboss who doesn't believe the "stupid Americans." Then a traitor shows up who supposedly brings more profit to the American people, and of course our hero has to defend freedom once again. The mission design is okay, although the last mission feels a bit strange. It's a conquer-and-capture map that turns into a survival mission, but it never really indicates where the enemy attacks are coming from. You can defend three different bases, but the easiest strategy is to fortify a single position with a ton of bunkers before capturing the prison and then simply hold that location. The earlier missions were much better in that regard. The campaign also features most of the base game's heroes, aside from the Russian spy. Maybe it's just me, but the game includes a lot of anti-air batteries and plenty of enemy airships, yet the Usonian faction doesn't seem to have particularly strong air units of its own. Ground-wise, only the main hero, who is probably one of the strongest units in the game, has decent anti-air capabilities. There are only one or two mechs that can deal meaningful damage to air units. Because of that, the Usonians might actually be the weakest faction overall, although some players seem to like them. I can't really comment on how they perform in multiplayer. The biggest drawback is the price. I enjoyed the campaign and trying out a new faction, but the DLC costs almost as much as the base game while offering roughly a third of the content. For fans, it's a no-brainer, but for everyone else I would only recommend it at a steep discount. That said, I still recommend it. It doesn't feel like a cash grab, and it does a good job of expanding the game's universe.

The Operation Eagle DLC, expansion brought with itself some unique mechanics to this game. It brought flying mechanics and mechs, robots to a RTS strategy game from the Usonia faction which is the USA themed faction in the world of Iron Harvest and Scythe. So Operation Eagle worth it ? Yes because it made the game bigger and also added another faction and more story to the game and multiplayer as well.
