IxSHE Tell is a romantic comedy about a popular student council president who's chased not only by the five main heroines, but by all the girls in the school. As you can probably tell from the ridiculous premise, this VN primarily focuses on its absurd over-the-top comedy. While I enjoyed this VN personally, it has too many issues, so I have reservations about recommending it to others. One thing I quickly noticed, is that this VN suffers from quality-of-life issues. The default window size is a bit too big for my screen, and there's no option in-game to resize it. If I try to resize the window manually, there's a chance the game crashes. Sometimes, clicks don't register, and I have to click multiple times to progress to the next line. And when I make a save, sometimes the thumbnail doesn't update. While these issues are not a big deal, it's unfortunate they exist at all, considering I've yet to see another VN with any of these issues. This VN is also filled with way too many minigames, which only makes thing confusing without providing much value. Just as an FYI, I'll explain how all the minigames work and what you should do: - Heart points: don't bother with this at all. You can pick whoever you want at the end. Giving points to your favorite girl actually results in less dialogue. This mechanic is only needed to get the rejection achievements. - Cross view: you should always view these when they come up. There's no downside to doing so. - Date events: pick whoever you want. Surprisingly, who you pick has no long-term consequences. - Timed events: do whatever you want. It only affects a bit of dialogue afterwards. So what about the story? The common route is decent. That's where most of the comedy lies, and for the most part, they're executed well. Once you get onto the character routes, however, this VN loses its unique charm and it just becomes your typical romance story. The character routes are also too short (about 4-5 hours each), with most of it being filler, resulting in a weird feeling of going too fast and too slow at the same time. There's one heroine whose personality and story I really enjoyed, and her route single-handedly made this VN a worthwhile experience for me. But there's no guarantee that you (the person reading this review) will like the same person, which is why I'm not recommending this VN to others. (If you're curious who I liked, it's
Yui
.)
