Playtime: 8 minutes
Fun game. A rather cute take on the metroidvania/2d platform genre. I like the mechanic of having limited shots (gun auto refils with the meter shown under your lifebar), and the ability to boost your jump while shooting. It is in early access, but the Dev mentioned that another update is coming very soon.

I didn't want to write a negative review because it's counterintuitive for a game in early access, but with the developer deleting my threads with crash reports, hiding technical problems, and being misleading on what content is available in this version, I have to speak out because I can't tolerate this behavior (on a side note, I strongly considered refunding the game and I didn't). To start from the top, I reported 1 crash which happened to me repeatedly (I had a crash report to prove it), I also experienced a glitch where the map shows 2 different rooms in the same location, which I assume is causing a softlock because I can't seem to access the content that is supposedly in the game. So I did the only logical thing in my situation, I ask the developer directly if a technical problem that I reported was preventing me from exploring the game. Here is what I don't understand, the developer could just say that glitches are unrelated to progress, but he dodged the question several times and vaguely said that content will be available (we not talking about the roadmap, we talking about content that he listed as already available). The metroidvania gameplay is serviceable from what I could tell, it's not exactly amazing, but I could see myself playing something like that with more polish. The platforming is very basic but you can shoot a gun under yourself to boost the jump, additionally to unlocking more bullets and energy regeneration. You can also find different power-ups that can modify your weapon and mutate the bullets into unique projectiles. On top of weapon mods, the character has separate slots for utility-based upgrades such as an x-ray that shows hidden walls. Currently, the game only has about 90 minutes of content, there should be more based on what he listed in the description, I didn't see it at the time of this review (maybe it's glitches, maybe it wasn't there, for some reason it's not a question he could answer directly).
Pros:
+ I like the power-up system (has modifiers for weapon and utility) + using bullets to boost your jumping height, always a fun mechanic
Feedback:
Be honest - Okay first of all, if your customer/player reports a crash and a potential softlock in the game, removing the thread is the last thing you should be doing. Tell the player that you fixed it, then I check that it is fixed, and then I will tell you that you solved the problem because right now you removed the thread and didn't solve crap. If the glitches that I experienced in the game are unrelated to progress, why you didn't just say so? Why do I have to ask the same question several times, I am not trying to expose you, but it doesn't sound right when you dodge questions about the content that you listed. Sound Effects - there are some missing sound effects, the tornado mod didn't have one, and I think most enemies do not have one for being hit, you can only hear the bullet and death. Overall Thoughts: I think the game could be okey, but honestly, I don't understand the mindset of starting an Early Access, and then deleting a thread with a user reporting crashes and bugs. I understand that I was getting a bit irritated which was not my fault, there are only so many times I can politely ask the same question about the store page and glitches only for him to talk around it. I uploaded visual prove of the glitch, I compared 2 images showing a wrong access point on the map, and he still got upset at me. I paid for your mediocre game in Early Access and you still can't take some basic feedback. Consider the money I spend on this a donation because I have no desire to support this project or any other projects made by you.
