This ended up being a really wonderful game. It has a such a beautiful and heartfelt story, and you can tell that a lot of love and detail went into it's creation. The art style and animation of the game is gorgeous, and the soundtrack perfectly accentuated the game. I found it helpful to play with a guide as your choices matter and will effect the ending of the game. The story doesn't shy away from sad and bittersweet topics and themes, but the overall message and tone is still beautiful and hopeful. Be sure to have some tissues handy, because the ending packs quite the emotional punch!

I played this game because I am learning Japanese and even though it was beyond my level, it uses probably the easiest Japanese of any game. However, by the end of the game I was literally in tears because of the very deep and profound messages about the value of living each day and recognizing the wonder that is right in front of us. As a game, it is similar to a visual novel except that there are many different choices that can be made in which the player can choose to do good or evil which change some parts of the story. There are also a few mini-games which are interesting. Of course the water-color styled artwork is beautiful throughout and the overall mood is wonderful. I would recommend this based on the story alone and hope that players would take the ending to heart and think about it in their own lives.
