It's a fun game, dubious to always only have room for just one character in the escape pods, unless you get your base up, you can't let anyone go.

You’re stuck on an alien planet with a small group of survivors, and it’s all about managing resources, building your base, and surviving against the odds. The game has a nice balance of strategy and exploration, and the planet itself feels alive with strange creatures and environments. It can be tough at times, especially when things go wrong, but that’s part of the fun. The learning curve can be a bit much at first, but once you get into it, it’s a solid and rewarding experience for fans of survival sims."

Had my eye on this game for a while although feeling iffy so i waited for a sale. $25 for game and DLC is a decent deal and I'm happy with my purchase , basically RIMWORLD but 3D and they did a fair job of it as well. Only 5 hours in so far but enjoying it.

Sadly on life support, I just don't like the entire company at this point, but the one guy working on this actually does it well, its just not that in-depth.

Its a fun game, and I love the ability to mod it as desired. Good for when I need a relaxing time. The waves of attack creatures is a little bit tedious, but I enjoy the base building and variety.

Each of the three scenario types introduces unique endgame goals without greatly differentiating the play style, which is great for replayability by adding a twist to your previous playthrough without it feeling like an entirely different game. Each planet also introduces unique differences between them, encouraging exploration and forcing small strategy adjustments on players thinking they're fully ready after their first success. The minutae in detail for development is, ultimately, deep, but it is not initially overwhelming for new players. The game does a great job starting you off simply and adding complexity as you advance, building with your knowledge of the game's mechanics. That being said, it can still be punishing to casual players who think they don't need to check the easy mode buttons before they begin. But at least there are those options for those players as well!

It's very much like a simplified RimWorld, which I think is great because RimWorld can be overwhelming with the depth of micromanagement. SAD doesn't have that depth of tedium so I found it to be more FUN to play.

Stranded: Alien Dawn is a competent base builder sim game that has an interesting idea, pretty art style and a decent amount of content to explore. Unfortunately, it lacks an interesting gameplay loop and has an excruciatingly slow progress track. This is coming from someone who has nearly 300 hours in Stardew Valley mind you. Played Saltu, Crash Landing on Hard difficult (which, as far as I can tell, just changes your starting resources) and, after 3.5 years of in game time, I feel slightly better off than I did at the end of the first year. At 16 hours into the game, I've been bored with the game for the last 6 hours of it and I honestly have no idea if I'll ever make it out of the stone age. It doesn't help that the game feels helplessly RNG heavy. Maybe it was just bad luck but one of my survivors got struck by lightening twice in a row (literally hit, knocked out on the ground and got hit again while unconscious) which gave them permanent neurological damage. This made them significantly slower, in permanent pain and basically never able to be happy. In hindsight I probably should have just thrown the save game away right then and started over but I didn’t realize how much of a detriment that really was at the time. Add in the fact that 8 consecutive expedition attempts to find additional survivors failed and/or hurt my existing survivors left me feeling like I would never get past the initial hump. It took me about a year of in-game time to figure out how useless your workers are being able to run their small little camp. Tried setting up the activity priority system but, if you give someone a higher priority activity to do that has an effectively infinite amount work that can be done (such as harvest/plant or research), they will do that and only that activity until their dying day. This wouldn’t be a problem if you had a dozen people that you could give a primary duty but, with only 4, you have to micromanage them to an irritating degree. Dunno, I want to like the game but the last couple times I pulled up the game, I felt like I was spinning my wheels. Maybe if the RNG had been in my favor in any capacity, it would have been more enjoyable. But, even then, I cant really say I've been having 'fun', I think it was more sunk cost fallacy of trying to make something out of the last dozen hours spent in it. End result: not a bad game, get it and give it a try if you think it'd be your kind of game but don’t feel bad if it doesn't hook you.
Very good content, original base biulder and management game.

Gameplay:
This game, like many others in the same genre, becomes repetitive when we play a lot, but the construction of the base, which is limitless except for the map, plus the most complete management of survival and survivor occupation I've ever seen, allows this game to stand out from the crowd and offer something more. The workshop and its huge community also add a lot of fun to the game. Difficulty levels range from totally sandbox to ultra-hard. Weather conditions are the biggest challenge you'll face. Changes and disasters happen at random and can kill off your community in a matter of days if they happen too early in the game.
Graphic design:
The graphics are perfect, the only detail I didn't like was the style of dress and the appearance of the characters, everything is too identical and lacks finishing touches. As for the scenery, it's very well done and beautiful.
Playtime:
4 maps and 4 scenarios, all offering over 20 hours of gameplay, for lvl hard.
Certainly one of the best base biulder games, but I've never seen management so advanced.

If you like Strategy, Tactics, tower defence games, come and discover what's available on steam.
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45245664-Seni-Gaming-Strategy-Tactics-TD/
