Am loving this game, plenty of building and research and then guiding everyone in battle against alien creatures (not too often, thankfully). Have had no crashes or problems of any kind. Very highly recommended.

Great fun. Lots of options to tweak. Lots of user created mods. Great graphics. Variable difficulty from relaxing to hectic.

This is a community management and survival game that brings out similarities to Rimworld or Dwarf Fortress while also taking on several new aspects thanks to its graphical nature and higher initial technology levels. Overall the concept is simple. You take on the mission of keeping a small band of survivors alive in a hostile environment where angry fauna and the weather are constantly working to slowly kill off those same survivors. You have to craft shelter and clothing, find food, research new technologies and struggle to stay alive. This game is fun and interesting with several new twists on the traditional mechanics, but it never goes too far from the simple roots that provide a playable and interesting challenge. Its worth a buy.

well this is one of my very first game I bought. I came here because of rimworld. Stranded alien dawn is a 3D version ofrimworld with simplified feature.

I missed the refund window and forced myself to play it for almost 15 hours to make up for the fact that it was a genuine waste of money. I really should have listened to the thumbs down reviews and not been drawn in by the pretty pictures. I haven't been this bored in a very long time. The steam discussions seem to say (even endorsed by the devs) "It's better if you use these mods", but I really shouldn't have to mod it to get even the bare minimum of enjoyment out of a game. It's impossibly dull.

Okay as a time-waster but Rimworld does it better. Everything happens very slowly, except food spoilage which is rather unreasonable. I feel like I cook a few meals and they are spoiling in the fridge in 1 day. And for every spoilage, you get a notification. Constant notifications. There are not many interesting events during gameplay, and only a few scenarios to pick from. I don't think I ever had any characters have a positive interaction with each other. Everyone has a negative opinion of everyone else. The work priorities are not very streamlined, I feel as though I am constantly telling everyone what to do. I like building in 3d but half the time nobody finishes constructing the roof, so I guess we're sleeping outside. Heaters and a/c seem pointless as long as your survivors have proper clothing. Scenarios are long and drawn out for no reason other than time bloat.

The game has really good feel. But I am having really bad save file error problems. I can put 2 hours into the game and when I exit it won't save the progress and i get an error message I have tried everything checking game file integrity/ firewalls and security nothing fixes. Thus I lose all the progress I made. extremely frustrating I hope the Devs fix this issue and fast.

Great management game similar to rimworld. However the 3D perspective add a whole new spin to the game. Also the fact that you can direct the survivors more individually does give you a lot of agency. And also this games focus on a smaller group, rather than a lot of pawn's which you don't get to feel much for. You will create a bond with this smaller groups. Unfortunately the raids do get a bit a repetitive, there is not a lot of enemy variety.

If you like Oxygen Not Included, here it is but in 3D style and considerably smoother experience when you've already played for 50 hours in a single base. Nice visual graphic, logical and sensical gameplay. Good job team

it feels like The Sims in open world survival mode. i love the idea of controlling survivors by arranging their daily schedule/tasks and etc to build civilization. this game really relaxing and i can play up to my own pace :)
