"there are key items left in this area". Ok, where? I am so bored. I can't find the needle in the haystack that you want me to find. Why is the fast travel to one of the locations disabled until I can turn the power on (which I don't have the ability to do right now?!) making me take a long uneventful walk back and forth to it. I just can't with this right now, I can't even be bothered to write up my thoughts properly. The start was extremely promising, I really like the graphics and the voice acting but the gameplay is just too tedious and slow.

Chasing Static is a really good indie game that blends a psychological thriller with sci-fi horror, & while some aspects aren't as compelling or fully realized (character relationships, realizations & emotional weight are cursory at best), this is still a pretty solid story-driven game. It's heavy on the walking sim side, but if you're into intriguing storytelling, do give this a try. The retro graphics even help to give the story a somewhat "dated" atmosphere, making it feel like it's the 90s.
