I didn't like it. Wasn't scary, the voice of the doll was really annoying, and the gameplay wasn't great.

Not yet functional on Deck. Only touchscreen responds so there isn't really any feasible way to play

There's bad, and then there's unplayable bad. This is the latter.
I can say that none of the games this company has made are worth buying. Hard pass is my recommendation.

I got this game on the Summer Sale for .49 cents USD, and honestly? I overpaid. Despite repeated attempts and even watching let's plays, the controls straight up don't work most of the time. Either items can't be picked up or don't move, doors don't unlock when they should, jumpscares don't trigger, etc.
It's a shame as what little I did manage to do seemed interesting, and if the gameplay was smoother it would be worth the price. But as a broken game it should honestly be free at this point. If the dev ever fixes the gameplay issues I'll be more than happy to flip my review.
EDIT: I retried multiple times after this, and there seems to be a bug. If you do things too early or out of order sometimes items won't spawn. It seemed like it was supposed to interact with a photo at one point, but then only a handprint appeared?
Maybe I did something wrong or out of order in the laundry, but I tried taking a photo of the same item the photo showed and it didn't work. Would love to see this fixed though.
EDIT 2: You can muscle your way through by running back and forth. I'm not kidding. Taking photos and collecting bricks I got the front door key. And was taken right to the menu screen. No ending unlocked.
The story is interesting if a bit confusing, even having read all the notes. The game even manages to be genuinely scary at times. But still until it's fixed I can't recommend. Sorry.

I love indie games like this, but I'm so incredibly sick of devs putting broken and/or unfinished games on Steam.
Some achievements work, but some don't.
The ending does not trigger or award an achievement when I complete the game. It just throws me into the main menu with nothing having happened.
When I resume the game, my inventory is broken.
Clicking on certain items in the inventory causes the game to permanently freeze, which necessitates force quitting from Steam.
Some events do not trigger when they should, and other events freeze and won't let you progress, which requires you to reload a previous save point. This being the case, when you get stuck, it's impossible to know if you're missing something or if you've done everything right but a glitch is preventing progress. Also, more often than not, trying to load a save point causes the game to freeze on the loading screen, and you must again force quit through Steam.
There aren't nearly enough flashlight batteries to get you through the game, which means you spend 3/4 of the game stumbling around in the dark. This is NOT FUN.
EDIT: On my first play through, none of the light switches worked, which is why I used my flashlight so much and it died so quickly. So the batteries are okay for the most part, but the light switch bug sucked. No idea what caused it.
Devs need to make sure their games actually work before releasing them.
I'm totally fine with many bugs and glitches, but when the game itself simply does not work, then it should not be sold on Steam. This game is just a complete waste of time.

This is the best Tainted Games experience I have had BY FAR.
The puzzles are not intuitive, but trial and error will see the player through. Limited resources make this entry more of a "survival" title than previous entries. The atmosphere is effective, and a decent tension is achieved as the player is threatened by the insidious doll and an environment that always seems just out of reach to our diminutive protagonist.
An inconvenient bug can lock the player in "tiptoe" mode, making control a little bit of an issue. This seems to trigger when the player picks up an item while in the "tiptoe" mode. It seems to be reversible if the player holds control to "stand" normally as they pick up and item.
I've experienced instances of the inventory menu remaining on screen after closing the menu.
I believe some achievements may be bugged, but others seem to cooperate as intended. I've had similar experiences with other Tainted Games releases (namely Last Stop).
Experienced issues loading an in-progress game from the main menu. After loading the save file, the screen "freezes" on the loading screen, but in-game atmosphere sounds begin to play.
This is not a spectacular game by any stretch, but it is one that I'm interested in spending some time with. This is more than I can say from some of the other tiles from Tainted Games.
