This game was an adventure for sure, with many interesting tasks and fun interactions with animals. It is very informative and I gained new knowladge anbou animals. The wolf was my favourite, so realistic and the dog - Patrick a great friend to guide you trough the map. Sound system in great, I enjoyd the sound of water falling and even my own foot steps. Surprisingly the graphics are great for early access game, flowers are beautiful and moonlight shines over the night. The game play is very nice owerall and I certenly wish to play Zoo World again. Thank you Intentio team and keep up the good work!!

This is not ready for even Early Access. Of all my purchases/time on Steam, this was my first refund request (thankfully granted.) The game is so far from even being a demo that there is a near zero chance it will ever develop into anything worth downloading. The visuals and mechanics seem 20 years old, but with a 'bright sun' effect to blind your eyes to the to the rudimentary models and 20 foot draw distance. More effort was put into representing this game as something it is not (via the store images & write-up) than was put into the actual game. That makes this click bait. It is clearly the product of a single part-timer. I suspect it is already abandoned out of hopelessness, remaining only to snag a few bucks every once and a while as it sits until the Steam condensates. Sorry to be so harsh, but this was grossly misrepresented. I cannot believe the positive reviews are anything but cousins or alt accounts...or maybe even neighbors. I do hope this person's next project finds success.

This is a total ripoff. i never asked for a refund but this game did it. the other 2 reviews are just blatant lies. It is really early acces if anytthing. The models are garbage the hitbox for your hands with your invisible body are weird. I needed to restart the game 3 times before i was out of the cabin and i accidentally went in the boat immediately wich trapped my inside a cabin again? The dog is the first thing you see in it is terrifying. it eyes light up and makes the same sound every 10 seconds. but it really did me when i saw the "realistic model of the bear. it starts a boring monotone monologue of what seems a wikipedia page translated by google translate. the models look like shit the field of view is sh+t bridges and trees keep popping in. either it is not done yet or it is a cash grab.

This is more along the lines of what VR should be about - novel experiences not easily done in real life. Open environment, interactive animals, and information. This is clearly an early version, and gameplay is relatively good with no major bugs or hangups. Much can be done with this and I hope the developers keep going strong. Recommendations for devs: 1) instructions & VR interaction movement improvement - borrow ideas from other polished VR games like Halflife Alyx (e.g. jump to move, interactive demonstration of tools - took awhile to figure out the function of red circles). Add haptic feedback to touch, esp animals. 2) Have animals more interactive with character: demonstrate curiosity, attention, following, tracking, attacking (as an option) and research animal behaviors to replicate in game. E.g. No Mans Sky does a very nice predator/prey spontaneous interaction. Animals should respond to presence and react to touch. 3) Create more real life missions to find, photograph, feed, play with animals. How fun to VR wrestle a bear?? Good start Intentio - Looking forward to much more!
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/hEoJf2DExN0 So there hasn't been any updates since release in Early Access or communication from the devs on the Steam forums in over a year. I think it's safe to say that this game has been Early Abandoned, which is typical of most indie devs that release EA games on Steam VR. Lots of promises made about updates to the game and so far none of those promises have been kept. For that reason alone, I cannot recommend this game. However, even if the devs hadn't basically lied, I still couldn't recommend this experience. It's just not a pleasant game as is. IT's a game full of graphical glitches from pop-in issues galore to lighting issues. There's no graphical settings to even try to mitigate the issues. Did I mention the game has very poor resolution textures so it looks out-dated as well? The VR interactions are poor, most of them being point & click interactions. You cannot pet the creatures. Your hand clips right through them, there is no haptic feedback, and animals do not react to your actions. The sound mix is uneven & absolutely terrible at some spots. There's nothing enjoyable about this experience. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting about 90 fps, with some frame rate drops, but nothing too severe. I did not experience any game-breaking bugs. However, the game overall is very clunky with lots of visual issues. I will say something positive about the devs, they had lots of ambition. They included a day & night cycle, a pretty large map island that is nicely laid out, & they even have random weather (rain). Unfortunately, the execution was poor all around. So while there was lots of ambition, there was very little mastery. The end result is an unpleasant experience. Rate 3.5/10. The positive reviews have to be fake.
If you enjoyed my review, please consider joining my Steam Curator Group. You can join here: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/Oculus_WMR
I really like this! I am a fan of VR walking simulators, and this provided a peaceful stroll through the woods. The animal models and animations are quite good too. It ran great on my Valve Index (and even includes finger tracking), and I have not yet encountered any bugs. Here is some constructive criticism for future updates (but really these are nitpicks, this is a great first version in my mind!) - The intro video should be on a fixed screen in 3D space. Having a video play at a fixed location in the VR viewport is nausea-inducing for many. But you are in good company: Elite Dangerous has this same problem. - The animal info panels are great, but I recommend adding the animal name to the top. I followed the dog, Patrick, for the first 15 minutes or so, and then just wandered around myself (so when I encountered animals, I had no context and sometimes the info panel would appear before I actually saw the animal) - The stars twinkle too much for my taste. It is ok to have them dim and brighten slightly, but it bothers the amateur astronomer in me to see them completely disappear and then reappear. - The plants are animated with scaling, which I rather like in a general sense. But they change size a bit too much in my opinion. - Maybe add a small light or make the flashlight glow when the player's hand moves nearby. At one point it was so dark that I could not find the holster where my flashlight was hiding :-). - The in-game menu is great overall. At one point I accidentally clicked "Load" because I was near an invisible wall and the ray cast from my controller didn't quite reach the buttons. That's fine because I had recently saved, but Patrick ran off to find an earlier waypoint and it took me a while to find him. - I like the mini-map, but at first I was trying to drag the zoom slider. It took me a while to realize I had to click on different points along the bar to zoom. Not sure what you can do about that, but it was a bit unintuitive. Great work, and I look forward to seeing updates to add more content and polish!

Firstly I want to stress that in NO WAY have I spent 10 hours on this garbage. I must have either left it running or it's just plain wrong. This is probably the most amateurish and clunky mess I have ever come across. The "controls" are just plain awful, no guide on how things work or what even the aim of the thing is. This is one hot mess. Whoever wrote the positive reviews must be shills for the developer. Only buy this if you want to see just how bad it actually is.
