STORY: 10/20
You have been given charge of a guild, a poor guild that needs funds and building up. You delve deep into dungeons and dark caves to explore for treasures and gold, so you are able to make your guild the greatest guild there is.
You get a little story at the beginning of the game, and that's about it. I did not come across any cutscenes or anything whilst roaming areas to bring you, the player, into the world more, shame really. I think the devs really need to revisit this aspect.
GRAPHICS: 12/20
Well, there's NO custom graphics used up to the point I played to, it's all Smile Game Builder's free stuff that comes packaged with the builder. The game however used custom art for the characters. There's something about the standard SGB graphics that I like so i'm not really unimpressed with what's used, i'm more unimpressed that these devs didn't use their own custom stuff. Magic spells and skills are of what I seen all SGB free stuff also.
SOUND: 5/20
Yet again.. the sound, music, sound effects are ALL the packaged stuff that again.. comes with SGB. Absolutely no custom sounds used at all, again.. a great shame, I wish the devs spent more time looking into custom music. Some of the Music tracks are okay, the ones that's pre-packaged with SGB.. i'm not knocking that at all but i'm just disappointed.
GAMEPLAY: 6/20
This game is labelled as Rougue0like / Rogue-lite.. my ass it is, this game is just a simple plain Dungeon crawler with a menu used to build your characters, Equipment, and item bag up, that's all this game is. I really wanted to like this game and was hoping for it to be a lot more than what it is.. and that's EXTREMELY BORING!
You wonder around a dungeon floor, killing stuff for Gold and looking for 1 or 2 chests. get to the end of the floor, kill the boss, and repeat the same thing on the next floor. When you die it's NOT game over, you get sent to a black screen that's menu driven where you upgrade things such as your characters levels, armor, weapons, stats, another one that sees new classes become available. Whilst it all may sound fun.. it's REALLY NOT!
SYSTEMS: 8/20
Menu driven upgrade system, a 3D (Doom-like) exploration of dungeon floors that DO NOT change every time you enter, a class system that has you recruit different classes. I think that's all I care to mention. OH! the ONLY good thing is the custom battle UI/HUD,, that's totally original cos stuff like that ain't easily done in Smile Game Builder, it's quite a process to set that type of thing up. (Later learned that's the standard look of the HUD/UI when using 2D in SGB)
OVER ALL: 41/100
I wanted to like it but it's just disappointing, it's boring as hell! I slowly felt my brain melt as a slid down further and further into my chair. Do I recommend? absolutely not, not in this state.
MESSAGE TO DEVS:
You've probably moved on from this project by now but there's a LOT of things you could do to improve things for this game. Have a little group chat after defeating the bosses on each floor bringing the story together in little ways. Use background pictures in the menus, such as when choosing things to upgrade, a simple picture of a guild hall in the background would make it much better. Custom graphics and even music would make the whole experience better.

Fun game, good mechanics, lots of different classes. It's nice to see the devs still updates the game.
Totally worth the price!

Fun and nice game that still needs more development, but I'll thumbs up anyway for its price and because we can see how much love and effort creators have put into it. I must mention though, I've refunded since it was glitchy (a bunch of blue lines in between tiles) and for some other small stuff that imo should be in the game from the start: options in menu to go fullscreen or even to exit game are non existent, and the guild improvement menu is lame - you have to enter each option just to learn what it is and how much it costs.
Why I still recommend the game then? Because developers just delivered more content and said they want to add even more stuff. This alone make me want more ppl to check this out and see its worth, giving enough feedback so they can achieve their goals
