Please fix the IDLE memory leak
this memory leak tends to show itself after clicking the IDLE button
there does not seem to be a specific pattern i am not a single invidual with this issue
as can be seen here https://www.protondb.com/app/1304550
basically when the memory leak gets triggered the framerate drops significantly lets say from 200fps to 5fps and it stays like that until the user restarts the game

A very chill, very relaxing game that will make you smile, themed around pretty much every Windows and macOS release ever, as well as some 8 bit retro computers!
If your not sure if you'll like the game and want to try it first, the mobile version is free (with ads). The Steam version has no ads, and progress is a bit less grindy, plus you get a CRT filter for the authentic 1998 experience.

I haven't played this in a while, but I used to play it a lot on my phone when it was free. Maybe worth five dollars if you can't find any other games, but a lot of games are probably better to spend your money on. Not trying to discredit this game, but still.

- An amazing parody. And one of the more well thought-out ones. Anything that calls back to the early days of computing is a win in my book.
Runs under Proton on Linux.

If you have an interest in unique games, are a programmer or computer geek, are nostalgic for old operating systems, or just want to kill a lot of time, this game will not disappoint. Although this game has a lot going on and might need some consultation from a wiki or other players occasionally, after getting into the swing of things Progressbar95 has taken me hostage. I spend hours on it without realizing. This might not be the case for everybody but this game gives me more dopamine than social media. I quit doomscrolling thanks to it. Cannot recommend enough, this game is an absolute hidden gem.

PROS:
- Nostalgic and gives a retro feel...mostly.
- You could learn Basic programming in Basic.
- Not expensive. A lot of game play for a small price.
- It's Fun
- Nostalgic especially for us who remembers the 90's
- It's a mobile game so you can try it out for free.
- It's a PC game. You can see the screen and use a real keyboard to type.
- Unique - not many UI games on Steam. Especially ones that take you back to the good ol days. We could use more realistic-ish ones especially for us computer geeks.
CONS:
- Repetitive and grindy is an understatement
- Could use more user freedom. Cannot close most mini game windows once it's started...
- Can't move or resize the windows. Should be able to move windows on the desktop on later systems...you know for that added realism.
- Would be neat to be able to add own music to media player even if was a few songs. Opportunity missed.
- Where's the calculator, notepad?....again for more realism.
- Cannot change the desktop layouts. Desktops should have different layouts (for each os) in addition to different skins
It's a mobile game.
My rating 6 thumbs (out of 10)
